I do FC as well as Cash Crate and Amazon Mturk. I used to do PTC, but that was so time consuming with very little pay, plus I had to pay for my referrals which sucked!  >:(
Anyways, I home school as well, so I try to wake up early in the morning to have some computer time online to earn extra money. My husband works very long hours, so I try to supplement his income so we have a little spending money for entertainment or for shopping in the mall, which my son loves to do! I have been online for so long now, that I know of what websites are going to be legit and what websites are total scams!
Good Luck!  :clover:

Can you explain what you mean by you had to pay for your referrals?

There are a lot of Paid To Click websites that rent you referrals to click for you. Some people swear by these programs, but I think the only ones making real money are the owners. The most popular one is Neobux.

I don't know why you would do that.  This site and another site or two I am a member of you get a percentage of what your referral earns.  None of their money but if they earn $1 then they get $1 and you get 10 cents if it is 10%.  I have seen programs where they want you to pay them and they guarantee to get you referrals.  But if your referrals are not active then you aren't making any money.

Can you explain what you mean by you had to pay for your referrals?  That doesn't make sense.  Why would you or anyone ever do a referral if you had to pay for them?  Usually you get paid for referrals.  : )   In my experience my referrals have pretty much proved to be worthless.  grrrr.

@ugetpaid- I need to find the apps that pay out the wazoo. lol
_______________

@countrygirl12, google my twitter handle and Apps that Pay and you should find a web site with some choice smartphone apps.

I will do that.  I have had surveys on here that ask for a cell number and I put it in and then it says it sent a message but I never receive anything.  I don't know what the issue is.  My phone is full but if I can make money with an app maybe I can find something else I can delete. : D

This is nothing new.  Things like this have been happening for a long time.  And it wasn't totally random.  There were personal issues between the gunman and these 2 people.  He was a disgruntled ex employee.  And the cameraman had went to HR on the shooter.  I am wondering if he got him fired.  Don't get me wrong, what happened is still bad.  But it makes a difference that they knew each other and there was something between them.  Although the fact that he videoed his crime and put it on the internet and that video has been viewed millions of times by idiots flocking to watch it - this just makes the next person want to do the same thing.  You go out famous.  When will the media quit giving these people the attention they seek?  When will people stop flocking to the media and watching crap that doesn't need to be aired to start with.  Then they talk about how bad it is.  It's like a preacher said once, you know it's bad, you know it's wrong to watch it.  But you watch it anyway so you can talk to your friends about how bad it is.  Just don't watch it.

The "reason" was released almost immediately.  The ex-coworker who killed them basically just didn't like them.  He said the guy complained to HR about him and the girl supposedly made a racist comment.

I think part of the problem is that, when you are young, you don't see any problem with dating a much older guy. However when you are an older mom with kids of your own, you wonder what on earth a young girl could have in common with a much older guy. It seems a lopsided relationship because she is starting off with her adult life and he has already lived half of his. I would imagine they will find it difficult, she will want to go out and have a lively time whereas he will probably want to stay home and appreciate the quieter things in life. Then what happens when she is 30 and he 50? Or when she is 40 and he is 60? Is is unlikely to workout really, in my opinion, however you can't tell someone it won't work, you have to let them live their life and they will come to their own conclusions. What you can do is support them and be there if/when they need you.

Not necessarily.  I never wanted to go out and party and have a lively time.

No I think it is not ethical to use the person for the day and then fire them.  If they are so bad as to be fired then make your decision and do it then.  Maybe the supervisor could take the fired person's place for the day.

LOL.  Yeah that will happen.

Good for them and you, my does not start until after labor day, but she is also a Senior this year so she is extra excited about it.  One year and I will be done with school then dealing with College.  And so glad, they have changed the school schedule for the kids to start later because 7:30 am is too early, LOL even my daughter is upset about it, the later they start the later the kids will go to bed

That is what gets me.  They have all this crap in the news about how school days need to start later.  We started at 8:30 the whole time I was in school.  If your kid needs more sleep then make them go to bed earlier.  They set up half the night texting and on facebook and then cry because they don't want to get up in the mornings.  Seems like when I was in grade school we went to bed at 9.  Getting up was not a problem.

Besides that they might as well get use to getting up because unless they live off the government they will have to get a job and that job will require they get up and go to work in the mornings.  The entire world will not shift to starting later in the day because a few people are lazy or want to sit up half the night.

And you are right, if the school day starts at 9 or later then it will end at 4 or later.

All of the survey sites have a disclaimer saying when you post your link "do not misrepresent" what the site is.  Even this site.  It says "for example do not say you can make thousands of dollars a month" or whatever.
But if you do a google search all of these survey sites advertise for themselves giving false claims of how much you can make.  I have seen several that have been discussed on here and they claim $35 per survey.   It is also sites I have been a member of in the past and you are lucky to make 35 cents per survey.  And it is hard to qualify so it takes 6 months or more to be able to reach the threshold to even cash out.

Even one of the banners for FC is flashing "make hundreds in an hour".  And we all know that is not true.

Just wondered what is the difference is us lying to get referrals and the companies lying to get people to sign up???

Off-Topic / Re: Lightning storm; anyone an electrician or understand lightning?
« on: August 25, 2015, 05:01:54 am »Message ID: 1006500
One night last week we had a horrible storm and lightning ran into our house via 2 different electrical outlets.  It fried our modem, our wifi router, our computer (all on 1 plug) and our kitchen range (on outlet by itself)  We've been in this house for 37 years and have never had these kinds of issues until about a year ago.  This is the 2nd time this has happened with the same 2 outlets.  Last time it didn't get to the computer though.  Anyway, I've had to replace everything and so far I have not found any explanation as to why this has happened.  Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?  Our local electricians won't even talk to you without charging an arm and a leg.

They are electricians.  No they won't do work for free.  They can't tell you anything without actually looking at the house.  Everything is expensive these days.  No one on here can really tell you anything either.  I don't think there is some big conductor bringing lightening into your house.
Are your computers on when the lightening runs in?  Use to everyone said if it is storming to unplug your computer and tv and stuff like that.  I realize no one does that any longer.

Those shows are all trash.  Thus the reason I very rarely watch tv these days.  I watch dvds of the old shows.

Never heard of such a thing.  Check into it and question why would the vet just call on your dog.

You don't know that they just called on her dog.  They may be required to report it to some authority if according to their records a rabies shot has expired.  Rabies shots are not that expensive.  And it's once a year.  If you can't afford $30 once a year then you probably don't need the dog.

I would also question why the OP thinks the vet called animal control.  Maybe someone else did.
Maybe someone else in the area who knows the dog has not had the shots called because they don't want to worry about being bit.  Rabies treatments for humans are very painful and very expensive.  And the chances of ever getting the money out of the dog's owners are slimmer than none.

I use to have a neighbor and she called and complained to every authority about everything in the world whether she had her facts straight or not.

After calling the vet office I would also find out what the laws are for my state, county, whatever before I ranted on a public forum on the internet.  What happens after you make a few phone calls and find out it's a law that the vet has to report the shots are delinquent.  So he is in his right.  Or that is wasn't the vet at all but an anonymous person.

Obviously the shots are past due.  So why not just go get the shot and everyone is safe.  Including the dog.  If he gets rabies he is going to die a not so nice death.

Off-Topic / Re: icloud - help please
« on: August 24, 2015, 11:22:11 am »Message ID: 1006331
I delete text messages every day.  I don't accept any attachments.  If it is a picture I either save it and get it off my phone or delete it.  There is no "clutter" on my phone.  I also regularly delete the cashe (sp) of websites visited.  I don't accept cookies.  I try to backup to my computer from time to time.  I had about decided the "cloud" thing is not for me.  I have deleted several apps but the ones still there are ones I use daily.  Thanks for your help though.  So basically, it's the same as backing up on my computer but it's on "their servers".  So it is not what I was thinking.

I thought it was like an online storage where I could move stuff like apps back and forth with out a lot of trouble.  Snag it from the cloud and use it and then shove it back in there and it save my stuff like it was on my phone.

Anyone have thoughts on what is going on in the stock market and how long it will last?

The government has been lying to you.  Anyone with any sense has not been buying into the economy is getting better.  Or the "recession" being over.  The economy has not improved.  As for how long it will last?  Until there is a total collapse.  When will it happen?  Hard to say.

It will crash again but not in my life time.

Are you planning on dying in the next couple of weeks?  We are on the brink of a total economic collapse.

my husband retired so we moved his 401 to a ira last week just in time i think.he doesn't have that much in it but everything is important.well if 401k's loose people won't spend that much for awhile.looks like its going back up right now anyway.

I don't know where you are getting your information from but I am looking at it right now and the Dow is down almost 400 points.  I also am not sure what your husband's 401k has to do with the stock market?  Unless he has that money invested in the stock market.

When people see stocks going way down they get scared and don't spend money.  Unless they are living off the government are think that cow won't ever run dry.  Delusional, they are.  Anyway, when a company's stocks start dropping at places like fast food and retail and people stop spending money then they will start laying people off.  More people who are spending less money and the economy gets worse than it already is.
