Off-Topic / ....WILL THIS COLD WEATHER EVER LEAVE?
« on: March 27, 2013, 05:12:02 am »Message ID: 710578
It has been winter so long here in Atlanta that when summer   8) arrives I don't think I will know how to react, seriously! When I turn on the tv and watch the daily news and watching all the blizzards, snowing and other very cold weather situations it's like living winter all over again. Common summer America is waiting for you

Off-Topic / HAIL IN ATLANTA, WOW!
« on: March 18, 2013, 04:34:17 pm »Message ID: 706414
Atlanta was hit with the three weather conditions all at once: Severe thunder storms, tornado watches and hail. The hail was totally out of no where and get this there were hail the sizes of golf and baseball. I couldn't believe this. I heard something falling very hard on my rooftop and apartment walls(outside) didn't know what it was. I looked out of my window and was in total  :o awe. I am used to the thunder storms and and tornadoes but not the hail.
Didn't see this one coming!

Off-Topic / CELEBRITY APPRENTICE IS BACK "YES!"
« on: March 11, 2013, 05:05:57 am »Message ID: 702504
I am glad Celebrity Apprentice is back. I have been enjoying watching the stars return for a second chance to win. The show never has a dull moment, lol, and the previous stars ars still just as crazy  ;D as before. I wasn't home but my family taped the show for me. Can't wait to see what's next on the show for Gary Busey, he cracks me up with laughter. Dennis Rodman is a trip, too. I was sad Britt went home as he meant well and I think Donald Trump was a little to hard on him.

Off-Topic / COFFEE JUST MAKES THE MORNING COMPLETE
« on: March 02, 2013, 10:14:48 am »Message ID: 697267
I don't know what it is about coffee but it somehow is not a morning unless I have a cup. I tried drinking other beverages and I never seemed to stick with them.....I always go back to coffee. Maybe because coffee has always been seen in the public image as being sociable and a good morning awaker. Either way my day want start right unless I have my C-O-F-F-E-E   ;D.

Off-Topic / I TRY TO LIKE FOOTBALL
« on: February 19, 2013, 10:24:08 am »Message ID: 690408
Football is a sport that is part of being an American. I try and try and I just still can't seem to get it. Now doing the Superbowl I will see what's going on because of the energy the game brings when other people watch it. Eveyone is screaming and hollering all over the room. I get lost right after the ball is tossed or kicked :-[ embarrasing isn't it,  :).

Off-Topic / How was your Valentine's Day
« on: February 15, 2013, 03:58:50 pm »Message ID: 688662
My Valentine's Day was simply wonderful. The best part was the chocolate candy with a variation of nuts and the addition of beer and/or wine. I particularly like the fact that you can get/give gifts to family members, friends, co-workers, etc..., too. My family was thrilled to get a card, gift and candy. I wanted to let my daughter know that even though Valentine' Day is symbollically associated with this day being celebrated with a significant other or spouse, it can be enjoyed as much with family and friends. We all had a good day and my significant other was present, too   !

Off-Topic / HAPPY PRE-VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!!!!!
« on: February 09, 2013, 09:22:40 am »Message ID: 685647
What I love the most about Valentine's day is a good activity. The activity has to include some chocolate candy, watch some good movies, eat a good meal and followed by some wine(beer is good, too). I love everything about Valentine's Day and what it represents especially if some chocolate candy(preference in a big, giant, heart-shaped box with some nuts(pecan, almonds, etc...) is provided. I can enjoy this day with my significant other, family members, friends, neighbors-as the day is really all about LOVE    HAPPY PRE-VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE

Off-Topic / Georgia hit with a lot of tornadoes and turbulent weather
« on: January 31, 2013, 06:26:19 pm »Message ID: 680548
This is not a good time to be living in Georgia. Right now Atlanta and other surrounding cities are experiencing some very bad and turbulent weather conditions. About 5 or more tornadoes hit all at once. There was so much raining and bad weather I thought the town's were going to flood and some did. Weather is so unpredictable  ??? and then the next day the weather has returned back to normal, go figure  :)  :).

Off-Topic / COLD WEATHER MAKES ME SO SLEEPY!
« on: January 25, 2013, 03:42:19 pm »Message ID: 677233
It is so weird to me how cold weather makes the body sleepy. All I know is that whenever it's winter or very cold outside I become drowsy, start yawning, and the next thing I know is I am ready to go to bed. I know the weather doesn't have any stimulants in it or does it  ??? I don't know whether or not if scientists have pondered this question, but if not, this would be a good idea to study: Why does cold weather make you sleepy?

Off-Topic / INAUGURATION OF PRESIDENT OBAMA 2013
« on: January 21, 2013, 04:46:02 pm »Message ID: 675516
Hi,

I watched the INAUGURATION OF PRESIDENT OBAMA today. It was so exciting and surreal at the same time. He and his family are a beautiful and loving family WHICH IS A GOOD THING. I enjoyed the entire process and I feel he and Vice President Joe Biden will once again make a great team! I feel they did very well with what was left over from the Bush reign. In the end Bush, too, showed favorism towards the President. Good to see America pulling together to keep America GREAT!

Off-Topic / LANCE ARMSTRONG FINALLY ADMITS TO TAKING STEROIDS
« on: January 16, 2013, 10:45:41 am »Message ID: 673007
Hi,

Well, Lance Armstrong finally came clean and admitted to the public (via Oprah Winfrey  :)  :))that he did use steroids. What a surprise  :o NOT A SURPRISE  :). I feel everyone already knew this but wanted to hear him say the words out of his own mouth. I think he wanted to clear his own conscious as I feel sometimes we are our own worst enemy.
