Have you heard the astronaut singing the David bowie song Space Oddity yet? I have seen it on the news and finally got to see the whole version on YouTube. Quite a feat in zero gravity. Very Cool !! I really enjoyed watching it and just wanted to know if anyone else bothered to go see the version on Youtube. Take the time and enjoy the video.

It is a shame that such a young life was terminated and another possibly put to death. It does make you wonder what the persuasive power some terrorist groups have over the young and impressionable! I am not saying that the 19 year-old does not need to be punished. How do you stop the madness. Our enemy is not easily recoginzed by the country he is from or the clothes he wears. Is there a way to stop the propaganda that is making terrorists?

Debate & Discuss / West, TX Fertilizer Plant Explosion
« on: April 18, 2013, 06:29:56 am »Message ID: 722557
Seems like people are still reeling about the Boston Marathon, but another tragic event happened last night at 7:30 CST outisde of Waco, Texas. A town of 2800 people was leveled for about 8 city blocks and volunteer firefighters of course unaccounted for. At this time there are 5-15 dead and over 150 people injuried.  It is termed a seismic event of 2.1. Cell phone video of the fire which then explodes is so massive, the people 1/4 mile away were deafened by the explosion. No one wants to beleive that this is anything but a terrible accident. Since this happened in the evening entire families were probably vaporized.

Offers / SSI Beef survey
« on: April 05, 2013, 12:01:56 pm »Message ID: 716504
I have found it quite interesting to fill out these surveys about the beef we eat and how it is raised. I lived in a farming area of Iowa while I was growing up and my folks always bought locally from our neighbors. These animals were not maimed by being caged or unhealthy, requiring an overabundance of antiboitics from cramped overcrowed conditions. They basically seemed happy. If our nation would go back to these type of farming practices instead of making it so hard for the indivdual family-owned farm to make a profit, our animal products would be healthier for us to eat. Corporate farming is the not only putting the little guy out of business, but the products will end up killing us and future generations. Willie Nelson has the right idea by supporting the family farm. It is too bad more can't be done to stop the take-over of corporate farming! Just my opinion.

I just wanted to say Thank You Forum Posters for telling me about the changing of browsers. I always use IE and so I followed your advice and used Bind and then logged in to FC from their webiste page. I clicked on the video page and Walla! They worked. It may have only been 3 cents today, but now that I know how to fix the problem, it may add up to more next time. NOw on to tasks.

Off-Topic / Shoe monitors and the Soda Police
« on: March 12, 2013, 06:57:27 am »Message ID: 703144
:oIt is bad enough that the citizens of New York City must be subjected to the soda police in limiting the size of sodas you can buy, but the Google shoes that tell you when you are not excercising enough have to be the icing on the cake. What has happened to your freedoms of choice. As far as the sodas go, the law was ruled unconstitutional temporarily. But the city is apealing the ruling. What is to keep people from buying 2 soft drinks to get the same amount that they were already buying. It really doesn't make any sense. Now the computer-chip shoe monitor that talks to you about your execise must be for people who really need someone to talk to them over their shoulder! What happens to the computer if you get it wet in the rain?

« on: March 12, 2013, 06:47:32 am »Message ID: 703133
:notworthy:Thanks FC for increasing the choices on pages for pay-to-click.  For instance, History for the Day is really of interest to me. I did not know that the Girl Scouts were founded on this day, even though I have forgotten the year already, it was something noteworthy to me. I have alwasy been a history buff, so I like this one. I know that a lot of people liked the gas prices and will be glad to see that one come back.  Thanks for the options to click around while my time ticks off!

Offers / Ford Fusion Experience
« on: March 06, 2013, 05:38:43 am »Message ID: 699704
I have tried to watch the Ford Fusion Experience for the past 2 days and can't get it to work. Has anyone else had this trouble? I really like the Ford Escape with the Guy in the back who comes to stay! Funny concept! I think that the notorizing in Zambia is a clue that escapes her. Watch what you sign and read the bottom line. Would like to see how the 2 ads differ from each other, but can't see the Exeperience.

Off-Topic / March beginning
« on: March 02, 2013, 05:32:33 am »Message ID: 697057
Did it come in like a lamb or a lion? Where I live, March came in like a lion, in my opinion. But my hubby thinks because we did not have BIG storms like a tornado or snow or rain, it was a lamb. I say it came in like a lion because the temps dropped 10 degrees and left us below 32 degrees. I was enjoying the above 40 temperatures until the 1st. I just hope that it goes out like a lamb. However, Texas sure needs rain!

Offers / Tasks

Wow, I felt like I hit the jackpot when I did all the tasks listening to automated voices. That was a real profitable day to see those 3 cents roll in every 2 minutes for an hour. Thanks you for the task and the $$ FC! I found a task that was worth the time I invested into it. I will definitely be checking for tasks daily from now on. Easy Listening!
