Happy 75th Birthday to Bugs Bunny this year! He still looks good for his age! He's always been gray hared!
Wow. Can't believe that he is that old. I have always loved that rascally rabbit. He has changed through the years. The early bugs looks different than the recent Bugs. Happy Birthday! Now go eat another carrot cake. BMaston12

Off-Topic / Re: What are the most important things to discuss before you marry someone?
« on: August 09, 2015, 07:40:00 am »Message ID: 1003312
I've been reading The 10 Most Important Conversations To Have Before You Get Married. There's good advice in there but I'm wondering what you married Fusioncashers think is important to talk about before making such a huge commitment?
First of all, you have to find out if you can live with their faults. Going into a marriage thinking that you can change the person into your perfect mate is unrealistic. Some things will improve and some thing will remain the same. Can you live with that for the rest of your life? BMaston12

Off-Topic / Re: Do You Believe In Tuff Love?
« on: August 09, 2015, 07:36:42 am »Message ID: 1003311
Do you believe in tuff love towards your loved ones in some circumstances?  For instance, if your child was breaking the law, not listening to you, and either directly or indirectly hurting themself or others, could you turn this child in to the police and perhaps have them spend time in jail?  Myself, I definitely could do it...depending on the situation.  Sometimes, no matter who or what, you have to pay the piper!!!
Yes. Children don't need to get everything they desire. No means accepting what you cannot have. Not throwing a fit until you get it. Sparing the rod has pronounced those reactions. Parents don't have the control they had when I grew up. Respect for authority because  the consequences for no respect are not pleasant. BMaston12

With football season just around the corner what is your favorite college football team?

Mine is the University of Utah.
Roll Tide. I like my Texas teams too. But the SEC is my favorite conference. They win more Championships. I love the South. BMaston12

Which is your favorite?  If you could only have one, what would you choose?  I guess I would choose hamburgers.
Burgers definitely. I love a good burger. There are so many ways to dress them up. So many ways to spice them up or sauces to drizzle them with. And then there are the buns. Many different buns to go with that burger. It would be hard to pick a favorite. Hot dogs have to have chili or relish. BMaston12

Do you find yourself cooking more on the grill or the stove. most of the time i use the grill unless it is something that needs to be cooked on the stove like pasta. also propane goes a long way.
Summer is the time for grilling. It does not heat up the house. It also gives you a different flavor to your food. You can cook up a quantity and save for more meals later. BMaston12

Off-Topic / Re: Hunger Strike at the Utah State Prison
« on: August 05, 2015, 05:38:43 pm »Message ID: 1002497
I heard on the news tonight that 48 inmates at the Utah State Prison are on a Hunger Strike.  Apparently, they are refusing to consume the meals that the prison provides because they want to experience an improvement in their living conditions.

Even though they're refusing to consume the meals provided....

they have been seen buying and consuming products from the commissary.

What do you think about all this?

Can they reasonably expect to be treated better?

Haven't heard this. But if they are buying food from elsewhere, how can they be taken seriously. I wonder how the food gets into the prison. Is the commissary in the prison? Not familiar with this. BMaston12

I cleaned up my email inbox once a month, It take me longer and longer to finish it, I have more and more junk mail every time.
There is no way I could wait that long. I would have thousands. I have close to 100 if I wait 2 days before emptying. I get some for different things. I have cut back since I AM NO LONGER LOOKING or a job. But I still  can't go more than 2 days without getting out of control. BMaston12

Happy August,  the last full month of summer. Have fun and enjoy it!!
This is the hottest month here in Texas. It reached 100 yesterday and will get up to 102 sometime this week. Love the AC! Of course the electric bills are highest right now. Have to sweat a little. But it will soon be over and comfortable again. Fall is great for temps. BMaston12

I love Italian, Chinese, Mexican, and some Greek.  Do you have any favorites?
I like all of those. Not real familiar with Greek. Mexican is my fav. Nothing beats a Chinese buffet. Getting to eat Italian for a birthday dinner. Can't wait. I also like some German. BMaston12

How do you drink your coffee or tea and which one do you drink?  I love coffee, have to have it in the morning.  I only put milk in it.  Not a big hot tea drinker, but do love ice tea.
Always tea. I never drink coffee. Never acquired a taste for it. I always got my fix for caffeine in Coke or tea. Recenty, I have cut sodas out of my diet. Well mostly. It is really hard to give them up after 50 years. BMaston12

Off-Topic / Re: Am I the only one not on Facebook?

I thought about trying Facebook, but I still have not tried. Anyone else out there not using Facebook.

So far I text message, talk on the phone and send emails. I am very slow with technology. I tried twitter for awhile, but did not really know what I was doing, lol
I have never used facebook and don't plan to in the future. Social media is not the way I like to spend my time. If it can't be done in an email, forget it. I don't have enough time to go through most of my email anyway. BMaston12

Off-Topic / Re: What retail grocery stores do you shop at?
« on: August 02, 2015, 07:51:14 am »Message ID: 1001453
I like to shop at Meijers, Krogers, Walmart, Busch and Heartland, all depending on what's on sale?
I shop at Walmart most of the time. It is the cheapest and I have to stretch my money. I also shop at Kroger. They are the most convenient. I do shop their sales too. I do $ store shopping too. Mostly for things that cost a $. Other stores charge more. BMaston12

What's your favorite salad dressing?  I love Blue Cheese and Ranch.
I love Ranch. There are some other dressings that are good. I like some Asian dressings. But I prefer mayo over oil any day. Of course it is more fatting. But that is the way most foods are. BMaston12

Dark chocolate is definitely my favorite and good for you too!
Dark chocolate is better. I like both. I do prefer dark to milk. My fav is white though. Something about the sweetness that I really love. BMaston12
