Offers / Sundays Are Sparse
« on: March 01, 2015, 05:12:49 pm »Message ID: 963736
Do you find that most of the time you don't make much money on Sundays...that opportunities are few and far between?  I wish that wasn't so.  I need to make money every day of the week at the rate you can on these sites!

Off-Topic / Lumber Liquidators and Formaldehyde...Beware!
« on: March 01, 2015, 05:09:34 pm »Message ID: 963735
Did you watch 60 Minutes tonight (3/1)?  One of the reports featured Lumber Liquidators and the fact that the flooring they import from China is filled with formaldehyde levels far beyond what is standard and safe.  60 Minutes sent reporters over to China to talk with the supervision in some of the mills Lumber Liquidators uses and the supervisors admitted Lumber Liquidators imports don't meet standards.  It also sounded like that is what Lumber Liquidators wants because it is cheaper.  The Chinese mills stated they can produce material at higher standards. So, if you have flooring from Lumber Liquidators and don't feel well, have respiratory issues, and don't know quite what's wrong, maybe you should look into this.  They said that children are especially susceptible.

Payments / History Channel "The Vikings"

Is anybody else into this TV show?  It is having it's next premiere season within the next week or so and it is one of the shows I am looking forward to.  When I first started watching, I wasn't sure it was for me but it wasn't long before I got into the story line, the history, and the characterizations.

Support / Help on the New HyprMax Video
« on: February 02, 2015, 05:31:05 pm »Message ID: 956411
I have been thrilled to see HyprMax reappearing on my video list from time to time again...until tonight.  There is a video in which Vistaprint is sponsoring the video shown.  But how do you get credit?  HyprMax, which is the ole' standby and consistently credits for me, wasn't doing so on this occasion.  One of the very rare times!

So, please, Fusion, is it a technical problem?  Or is there a "trick" that I don't see.  I tried clicking on Vistaprint and my browser said it didn't support the long address.  I tried clicking on the Facebook connection and held it open for a moment, but that didn't help either.

Anybody figure it out, OR Fusion, do you need to fix something?

Support / Survey Site Burnout
« on: February 02, 2015, 06:23:58 am »Message ID: 956183
I can tell I am starting to burnout on the amount of time I am spending on 3 different sites trying to earn enough extra income to make this worthwhile.  Also, I am beginning to feel guilty when I don't spend a certain amount of time each day.  I have a friend who says I need to take several days off each week and ignore my computer.  I feel between a rock and a hard place.
Anybody else ever feel like this?  What did you do?  How do you handle your time regarding your survey sites?  Do you work on multiple sites?
Suggestions and insight, please!

Support / Revoked Survey Payments
« on: February 01, 2015, 11:30:43 am »Message ID: 955914
Well, I just received notice from Fusion that one of the surveys I completed has decided to revoke payment.  This is the THIRD time in about six months.  Not terrible odds, but certainly convenient for the surveyors.  Right after I cashed in...both times.  Since we all are providing our valuable time and energy giving thoughtful responses (and I think most of us are), I am very skeptical that these surveys HAVE our opinions and don't have to pay anything...on what seems like a whim.

Now, I am sure that sometimes there are plausible reasons where people have decided to give any old answer and take about 7 or 8 minutes to complete a 25 minute survey and that stands out like a sore thumb.  But to earn pennies and surveyors decide to revoke payments on surveys where thoughtful, honest answers are provided really GRINDS me.  Not only that, but it seems the surveys don't have to provide us with the reason it is being revoked!  I think that if a survey has been COMPLETED and there is no obvious signs of being fradulent, there ought to be a small fee for your time and effort...maybe 5-10 cents.  Most of these brands who want opinion surveys can certainly afford it!  It seems like TAKE, but don't give anything BACK in some cases...on a whim.

Although a very small scale, these instances are one of the reasons unions were formed...and I'm not necessarily a big union supporter.  The survey companies, and even more the brands behind them, need to realize that this kind of treatment is the underlying cause of why people organized unions. Unfair treatment!  It's time to value one of their customers...US!!!!

Off-Topic / How About Celebrating the Good?
« on: December 04, 2014, 06:35:24 pm »Message ID: 940630
I don't know if you read the thread entitled "Life Can Be Tragic."  I started that thread and just read all the entries under it to date.  It made me realize that too often the news media focuses on the bad.  It makes us focus on the bad too.  Sometimes it need to be focused on.  However, it seems to be it is focus on--over and over--too often, and the good and the positive receives no to little attention. you think the news media should focus more on positive actions and situations in society?  Do you think the news media, at times, whips up problems into something it shouldn't?  Do you think the news media over glamorizes certain people or issues?

I believe it will be available around Dec. 17.  What would you like to see?

Can't believe but I had to share.  I have qualified for 2 surveys within days, and one was a Toys Survey on Thanksgiving Day for $3.70!!!!  Yes, I said $3.70!  And today, another survey for .90.  You could have knocked me over with a feather after the first one.  But to qualify for a second survey again----so soon???!!!!
As Marvin Gaye said (for those of you old enough to remember him), "What's goin' on...?

Off-Topic / "She Works Hard For The Money"

If you could work in any job or professional field you would like, what would you pick and why?

Me, I finally decided over the last several years what I would like to do when I grow up.(Too bad I'm TOO grown up for this.)  I would go to school and then apply to Quantico to work for the FBI or a large police department as a criminal profiler.

What about you?

Debate & Discuss / If $$$$$ Was No Barrier...
« on: November 02, 2014, 08:48:36 am »Message ID: 931925
How would your life look different if money was not a barrier?

Would you move? Where, to what, why?

Would you quit your job?  What would you do instead?

Would all your family members and/or friends receive gifts? Would it be equal or are there some you might overlook?  Would there be stipulations on the money?

Would you consult with an investment professional?

What about charity?

What would be the first thing you would do?

FusionCash / Surveys Which Claim To Not Be A Survey
« on: October 07, 2014, 04:29:04 am »Message ID: 924645
Increasingly over the past month, on not only Fusion but the several other sites I am on, there appear to be surveys which lead you through a lengthy qualifying the point you think you are taking and involved in a survey...and then suddenly state: "We are looking for a survey for you."  I, for one, am starting to resent spending question after question for 5-10 minutes in what I think is a reputable qualifying survey, only to be told after such an amount of time that I'm not even in a survey as yet.  Although a cent is some cases and sites you may get that...I believe these surveyors need to provide remuneration a bit more than a penny.  Once in a while I understand why unions came about.
