Off-Topic / The Idea of Politically Correctness
« on: March 02, 2016, 10:03:23 am »Message ID: 1050394
As I watch the entertaining political circus this year and watch and read the mainstream media, I have to admit I am thinking that we, as a nation, have become overly concerned with the idea of political correctness.  Is political correctness about being respectful and considerate or has it become limiting in thought and speech?  I have to admit I am starting to lean toward the latter.  It appears that every time someone expresses a view that doesn't meet the "bar" of political correctness, it is suggested that someone needs sensitivity training.

When I read that a school superintendent or principal made the decision that no holidays, including Christmas, will be celebrated in any manner within his school system because not all children could participate, I knew that "correct-speak" and accompanying practices have gone too far!

Support / Hey Fusion, FIX YOUR VIDEOS Please
« on: February 10, 2016, 06:07:40 am »Message ID: 1045575
Fusion, HyprMax has not been available lately to any extent.  Now, the Content, etc. videos are not functioning properly.  They have been somewhat difficult anyway because of only so many in 24 hours.  Okay, I can deal with that when they work.  However, now the others are messed up.  How about getting this video thing under control?  It is frustrating and a waste of time and effort when these issues turn up time and again.  Some of these videos have had warnings of viruses and/or worms. Can we have some kind of consistency and support that the videos do not contain any of these issues, even if bogus?  Thanx!!!!!

Offers / FREAKING TWICE!!!
« on: February 09, 2016, 04:40:44 pm »Message ID: 1045518
Within the last several days I have completed...I mean COMPLETED! two surveys...only to be told that the quota has been filled.  Twice in about three days is too much!  That is crazy!  That is taking advantage! That is being used! I am not sure how often I am going to be trying surveys here on Fusion if that happens again very soon.  Venting...but fed up!

On top of the survey debaucle, half the videos I am trying tonight are not crediting! When is the video problem going to be straightened out on a regular basis?  On...off...on...off...credit...don't credit...credit...don't credit! For Pete's Sake.

Off-Topic / TV Watching Hours
« on: February 05, 2016, 07:30:05 am »Message ID: 1044411
What time of the day do you watch the most TV?  Now that I'm retired, I find myself watching a great deal more than I ever thought I would.  I watch some in the a.m., in the p.m., and in the late evening if I am home, and I am home much more than I used to be. I seem to have a favorite show on most days.  What about you?

Support / Misleading Surveys
« on: February 03, 2016, 03:27:53 pm »Message ID: 1044000
Why have I had two Peanuts surveys in the last week or so that have stated 44 cents incentive but have credited for only 31 cents?  Has anyone else had this experience?

Offers / Video Vexation
« on: February 01, 2016, 07:31:02 am »Message ID: 1043185
I hate "to look a gift horse in the mouth" as the saying goes, but when are we going to get something different in the videos section?  The same videos over and over are getting old and boring.  The inconsistency in crediting in getting older and more boring.  Now I have to validate that I am not a robot.  Having to second guess how many times in 24 hours I have completed a video is frustrating, especially when I know I have not completed the full amount I should be able to do in a 24 hour period.

Fusion, I hope you have something in the pipeline as far as a variety of videos that actually start crediting regularly.  It will make me feel like you value me as a customer.

Off-Topic / Shrinking Height and Aging
« on: January 06, 2016, 05:12:49 pm »Message ID: 1037949
Well, I went for my annual physical today and found out I have shrunk another 1/2 inch.  I was originally 5'2"...not tall by any standard, but I have slowly become 5'1/2".  "Barely", as the medical assistant said. Gee, I can't wait to be 4'10".  LOL! (Well, I'm not sure I really feel like LOL!!!)  Soon I'll be in the Little Person society (to be politically correct).

Offers / Dealzingo???
« on: January 04, 2016, 08:38:26 am »Message ID: 1037390
Has anyone completed this offer and received the 50 cents and gotten a WalMart giftcard?  I am especially wondering about the 50 cents offered.  I am always suspect of these type offers as I have spent some useless time completing circular surveys and trying to do everything possible to get credit and nothing happens.  I mean NOTHING much of the time!

Off-Topic / Mortality Reminder
« on: January 04, 2016, 08:31:20 am »Message ID: 1037386
I was just contacted by my high school graduating class that a 50th reunion is being planned.  I can't believe that it will be 50 years since I graduated.  I can remember when I thought that there would be maybe 10 "old fogies" left for such a get together and why would they bother.  Doesn't life  change your mind and view of things.
However, the real reminder of the fragility of being human is that 25 people are deceased out of my original graduating class.  This is out of the number of people that has been locatedso far.  My grad class had a total of 210 people.  Two of the people that are deceased were good friends at points in my life.  It has really taken me aback as I have thought of these people and  how we all were in high school at that youthful, innocent age where we all thought we would go on forever...invulnerable.  LOL!

Debate & Discuss / Computer Brands
« on: January 03, 2016, 07:24:31 am »Message ID: 1037098
I may be buying a new laptop before long and I am wondering what computer brand you have had a lot of luck with?  Is there one you swear buy?  What have been some positives and/or negatives about brands you have owned?

If you could go forward or back in history, which would you pick?  Is there a specific time period or person you would like to meet and talk to?  Ever thought about it?

FusionCash / Paid to Calls?
« on: January 02, 2016, 12:50:00 pm »Message ID: 1036904
I have not seen a Paid to Call for months.  Will these ever come back?  I would be happy if they paid a dollar or so and not as much as several I've seen.  How about some thought and work on this, Fusion?  I think other Fusion participants would like to see some again.  There was a time I put a number of suggestions about what type of business or services could be pursued here on the forum.

Off-Topic / Give Me A Ticket for an Airplane!!!
« on: January 02, 2016, 12:46:00 pm »Message ID: 1036903
Oh, my gosh, do I need a vacation.  No, not a "stay-cation."  A vacation!  I want to daydream...get on a plane and go somewhere exciting and warm.  Have you ever just wanted to drive to the airport, hop a plane, and not come back for a month or so?  I am feelin' it now!  Where would you go if money and everything else was not an issue?

Off-Topic / Technology Withdrawal
« on: January 02, 2016, 11:43:46 am »Message ID: 1036888
How long could you go without technology?  I am talking about your computer, internet, cell phone...  Even more specifically, I'd like to know about your cell phone.  Could you shut it all down for an entire weekend?  I know I could and sometimes think I should.  Maybe I will experiment soon.

Off-Topic / Will you have enough retirement savings?
« on: January 02, 2016, 11:36:38 am »Message ID: 1036885
There have been numerous surveys regarding the amount of retirement savings different generations have.  Most state that many people will not have enough to continue their standard of living.  I know that I am finding it hard.  What do you think about your situation?
