Debate & Discuss / Re: Beliefs
« on: September 13, 2015, 05:11:53 pm »Message ID: 1011174
Holy cow (no pun intended).  All conversations and questions about belief are not necessarily religious! (as was pointed out be the posting originator)

What I meant is that there are all kind of beliefs and convictions, not just religious.  For example, there is the belief in freedom, the belief in the sanctity of marriage, the belief in life starts at conception or not, just all kinds of beliefs.  It is fine that some of you have such religious enthusiasm, but sometimes a few posts will suffice in a forum such as this.  It becomes a diatribe after a bit.  You know, there may even be agnostics and atheists.  Those are beliefs too.  Each person has the freedom, cognitive processes, and familial and cultural values to decide what they believe.

For all of you who say you make $50,000 or close to it, you are better men/women than me.  The last six years I worked I made $50-53,000 and had hours between 40-44 per week.  The last thing I wanted to do in my free time was get on a survey site and sit for hours making pennies.  Even now, after making that type of money, I cringe some days at having to do this.  But for those of you with the attitude and aptitude for it with that income, more power to ya!!!

She was in contempt of a Supreme Court ruling.  I think she knew all along that she would go to jail and is making her point and having people rally to one side or another.  However, the law is the law.  If you can't follow the law and perform your job to the standard, then step down or have the consequences.  I don't feel sorry for her in the least!

So are you admitting you lie on the surveys about your income? :D

Why would you jump to that conclusion?  Wow!  The answer is that I am honest and aboveboard in all my responses.  Just asking why someone would be spending time doing this when they have income over $50,000.  So do YOU lie on surveys?

Suggestions / Re: More Money

Don't put in that kind of time for that kind of money!  I hope you had realistic expectations when you signed up.  If someone told you that you would make $100-$150 per month on these sites, you're not.  I read on the web and some people are putting out crazy information about what they supposedly make on some sites.  Well, they don't consistently.  In fact, that kind of money is rare.  Get some decent sites, put in a reasonable amount of time (not more than 2 hours per day per site), and you can average anywhere from $35-$75 per month on a site.  It just depends on a number of factors, some of which you can control and others which you have no control over.

I treat myself with a day at the beach Condo, soak in the hot tub after an hour walking the surf feels so good. Then hit Norma's for a big plate of Albacore Tuna and Chips followed by a long nap.

Boy, I like the way you treat yourself!  If I had the resources, that sounds like something I would do!  Good for you!!!

Although I get many videos which credit, I also get many that don't.  I am unsure why this is so.  Isn't there a standard that the video submitters have to meet or something that FC can do to assure that they credit when instructions are met?  I don't understand where the responsibility lies and why the standard would not be set and met!

No Twitter, a little bit of Facebook.  I prefer Pinterest over both of them.

I love sweets...a real sweet tooth!  However, I rarely eat dessert with a meal.  Usually more of a snack.  Also, if I had dessert every time I wanted it, I'd be the size of a house with diabetes probably.

I was a very good child.  My parents were older and quite strict.  We lived a quiet life.  My father worked and my mother was home.  They had high expectations of me in school and I didn't want to disappoint them.  I guess I also had high expectations of myself.  I really would never have even thought about doing some of the things kids do today.  For one thing, I respected my family and I knew there would be consequences.

You know, phil, I never thought I'd like those crazy hair colors but I just saw 2 pictures online with a royal blue highlighting almost black hair and a pink highlighted into blonde and I changed my mind.  Both were not overdone and it looked really good.  I am thinking of putting a single highlight in either a violet or turquoise in the front of my hair...just for trial.  My hair is auburn.  Which do you think would look best?

When I want to treat myself and feel a bit special and relaxed, I have my hair professionally colored and add highlights.  I can only do this a couple times a year, but I guess that's what makes it a treat!

I could care less about most sports.  Pretty much the only time I watch these type of competitions is when the Olympics are on.  Otherwise, many of them bore me stiff after 30 minutes or so!

Off-Topic / Re: Do you sleep well during the work week?
« on: September 02, 2015, 07:51:46 am »Message ID: 1008751
When I was in the working world I used to average about 6 hours sleep per night.  Now that I am retired, my sleep is so variable.  I now sleep anywhere from 2 or 3 hours up to 6.  I wish I could sleep 6 hours regularly again.  Sleep is a valuable commodity which research has proven can add a year or so to your life.
