I have a routine myself, but it's mostly just the paid email and the paid-to-click. Yours is obviously much more productive! Nice work!

He's awful, but what is more awful would be the amount of reactionary racists that now feel confident enough to come out with their hateful views because of how much traction he has gained in the primaries.

Debate & Discuss / Re: Immigration - Your thoughts

There wouldn't be any countries if there weren't borders. There's a "border" between my yard and my neighbors. Abolish borders? Should I be able to throw my trash in his yard? Complete nonsense.

Of course I only meant national borders that divide countries. Not the border between your yard and your neighbors'. Further, if there were no borders, people would likely still refer to countries as their names, etc.

There's no border keeping me from leaving my town and entering it again, but I still call it what it is.

Debate & Discuss / Re: minimum wage increase
« on: February 29, 2016, 10:07:29 am »Message ID: 1049539
so, if the minimum wage goes up, so will cost of living will increase.

 ???
The cost of living has already been increasing steadily for the past thirty or forty years. It's the minimum wage that has failed to keep up.

Minimum wage has kept up. If it was adjusted for inflation, it would only be $4-5 today.

How has it kept up? It has stayed about the same (in most of the US) since the 1970s. Why would adjusting it for inflation make it even less?

Maybe if he's elected that will push more people to the radical left? That's the only advantage I can see from him being elected.

Even Native Americans were immigrants. They came here from Russia/Asia over the bridge of land that connects to Alaska, now underwater.

Isn't that just a theory? Although even if it was 100% true, that was thousands of years ago...kind of odd to call the people who were both here first and for thousands of years "immigrants" in a way comparable to the Europeans who colonized them.

Smudgyglasses - Try going to a country that doesn't have borders. Why should we be the only country without a border?

I don't think any countries should have borders. They are imaginary lines humans place on a map that decide the course of human lives, I think this is an awful practice.

Off-Topic / Re: Primary elections concerns

They definitely all have flaws, and again it's another "lesser evil" vote. Then again, it always has been, hasn't it?

I'll be voting for Bernie Sanders in the primaries, but if he doesn't get the nomination I won't be voting come election day.

Support / How can I tell what I've been thanked for?

Probably a silly question, sorry if it's been answered already! I'm not quite sure how "thanking" works. I haven't been able to understand how to do it, and I can't tell what posts I've been thanked for.
