Off-Topic / NBA injuries
« on: October 19, 2017, 07:50:07 am »Message ID: 1174147
Did anyone else see that horrific injury that Gordon Hayward suffered just five minutes into the new NBA season Tuesday night?  As a Celtics fan, it was absolutely devastating to watch, with all of the hope and promise he added to the new team.  As just a fellow human being it was nauseating to watch, even without any team loyalties. My wife and daughter had to come into the bedroom to find out why I was yelling "Oh my God! Oh my God!" over and over again.

Thankfully, they reset his ankle right away and he is expected to make a full recovery after surgery Wednesday night.  He just won't be officially lacing them up until October of 2018 - assuming all goes as planned in the recovery and rehab. Good luck to him! (and also to the Celtics in the meanwhile)...

Off-Topic / Re: Friday the 13th

I was walking to work last Friday morning (on the 13th).  One the way, I encountered a stray black cat in the next neighborhood over who was scratching in the grass.  When he saw me, he got spooked and ran off (but our paths did not officially cross since he went off the other direction).  I know as a cat owner that scratching in the grass often means that the cat recently left a deposit nearby.  I was lucky enough to not step in it!   So all in all, I'd have to say that this particular Friday the 13th was not unlucky for me at all!

Isn't this supposed to be in the Debate and Discuss board?

By rights, it probably should be on that board, but it is where it is until someone with site authority moves or locks it.

A woman/couple is/are pregnant and they do not want to have a baby... they can legally terminate the pregnancy and the 'fetus' is not considered to be a living person being killed.

A woman/couple is/are pregnant and they are overjoyed to have a baby... tragically, someone comes along and kills the pregnant woman and is charged with TWO counts of murder...

What is the difference between the baby in these two scenarios? How can one be murder and the other be a 'choice'?
ALL life is a precious gift from God (whether it is joyfully welcomed, or an unplanned financial burden).

I seriously doubt that the site admin is "getting back at you" for anything.

You're still not going to find a better online opportunity out there for as little work as you have to actually do to earn the same amount of money.  Is it frustrating when things do not credit? ABSOLUTELY! Is it a big enough slight to leave the site forever and the 95% of the other opportunities that do properly credit? I suppose that's a question each person has to answer individually, but it definitely isn't worth it to me.

Good luck to you whichever way you ultimately go!

I hopped on Tap Surveys this morning hoping to pick up a few quick DQ's to earn my daily 5¢ PTC.  Instead I got a couple of the web cam surveys that took a total of about six minutes to complete and I ended up with 64¢!  I've already earned my $25 cashout minimum, so everything else is gravy!

We went to a dinner theater while on our honeymoon in Lancaster, PA twelve years ago. It was a lot of fun. Combining the meal and the entertainment in the same venue and on the same bill is a great idea. This is an excellent option for date night if you have a dinner theater nearby.

Let me offer an alternative perspective - not meant to sound critical of the OP.  I submitted a support ticket on July 4th about a referral cash out bonus that was revoked. I'd had several prior bonuses from the same referral revoked  - and then reinstated after submitting a support ticket. I have had some tickets resolved on the very same day and other that took a few weeks or more.  The ticket I submitted on July 4th went unresolved for an extended period of time.  I remained patient. I did not support any additional tickets. I did not rant about it.  On September 19th, my bonus was reinstated and I received an additional credit for my trouble.  I didn't ask for anything extra, but it certainly helped me start off the new month of earnings.

On multiple occasions over the past year the chatter in these forums has suggested that the site admin was overloaded with various issues.  I've seen no evidence of outright neglect or abandonment. Some things have taken a little bit longer to get resolved than in the past, but the site is still running and payments are still flowing right on time without fail.

So my personal experience has been that even if support tickets are not resolved right away, they do get resolved. And I have no problem with the delay because I have seen a track record of positive and fair resolution.

FusionCash / Re: shopping cart quarter

I recall a story from years ago about my dad's trip to Aldi's.  It was new to the area and this must have been his first time there - unfamiliar with the procedure.  He thought he was doing a good deed when he took a cart from an elderly woman walking it empty back to the store after unloading her purchases into the car.  He cheerfully said something like: "Here, I'll take that back for you!" figuring he was saving her the trouble of taking it all the way over to the store and walking back again to her car!   LOL!

I'm not sure what sort of expression the woman must have had on her face when this 'good samaritan' stole her quarter away from her!  But she must not have protested or put up a fight...

Have you ever accidentally chosen a wrong answer and got punished by a loss of points?

I did once, and I lost like thirty points.

All because I was in a hurry, and before I could correct my mistake, whoosh!

I did not do THAT twice . . .

Are you saying that they actually took other earned points (money) away from you for not paying attention? I didn't think they could do that, so I wonder if I am misunderstanding your experience.

Sherry,

Do you have a swagbucks routine or tips you would be able to share? I do the daily poll and a survey once or twice a year and that's about it. I cannot seem to get into a groove over there of what makes the most sense in terms of time spent and earnings gained.
