Off-Topic / Another month of stay at home
« on: April 24, 2020, 05:25:24 pm »Message ID: 1322291
Governor of Illinois extended our stay at home for another month until May 30th and will look at the statics before saying about the future. Eased some restrictions but very little still opening.  Guess I rather be safe than sorry.  Just home it warms a bit to sit on my deck.

Submitted a ticket to TAP this morning and received the following reply this afternoon.  Hope it is fixed for the weekend.

I apologize for the delay! It looks like there may be an issue with Fusion Cash to blame. Our team is looking into this issue, and I will reach out as soon as we have an update!

Off-Topic / Restaurant and Bars Closed In Illinois
« on: March 15, 2020, 05:18:51 pm »Message ID: 1317050
The Governor just declared today that all restaurants and bars be closed as of Monday and will not re-open until March 30th.  Carry out will be available.  My nephew is suppose to get married on March 28th and wonder how this will be effected since the reception is at a downtown Chicago hotel (really not a restaurant).  I know that rehearsal dinner, welcome drink reception and the after party will all probably be cancelled because they at a restaurant and bar. Some of the brides guests have already have cancelled this week because they have to travel.  I feel so sorry for them after a year and half of planning and it all may be cancelled or postponed to who knows when.

Off-Topic / Wedding Cost Outrageous
« on: March 01, 2020, 08:00:17 pm »Message ID: 1315150
My daughter got engaged right before Christmas and has been planning her wedding for January 2021.  It is amazing what the end cost will be for approximately 200 people.  Of course she doesn’t want the typical banquet hall or restaurant but instead went with a old warehouse loft.  This means that everything has to be brought in except the tables and chairs.  Many of the vendors that she has been looking at fortunately offer a discount if you get married between January and March which is why the January wedding.  I never thought about this before but she is saving half on her venue. Bar bill and catering both offered a 15% discount. But still have to look at décor, flowers, DJ, photographer etc.  Of course after you add up everything it is wonder that anyone that gets married now days doesn’t have some debt after getting married.  So glad I got married 37 years ago.

Off-Topic / Robo Calls with my home phone number
« on: February 06, 2020, 09:00:08 am »Message ID: 1311899
So the last 3 days I have getting calls that show my home number on the caller ID and have been ignoring them.  Very weird since I know I cannot call my own home using my landline.  I first I thought it was glitch but when I answered it today it was a robo call stating this is Angela from Microsoft.  Amazing what people can do now a days.

Off-Topic / New Year and Off to Bad Start
« on: January 02, 2020, 06:54:36 pm »Message ID: 1307466
Received a phone call from my bank today asking if I was making transactions in Wyoming with my debit card.  Of course my heart sank and thought OH No not again.  Sure enough someone was using my debit card number to get cash out the ATMs and make purchases.  I had not used my debit card since before Christmas so not even sure how it could have happened.  I learned the last time not to pay for gas at the pump so I don't think it was that.  Just had all the direct deposits go thru on the 1st  and bills pending to be released on the 2nd.  The bank had to put a hold on all 4  of our accounts and cancel my debit card.  All the bill payments had to be cancelled also and anything that had not cleared before the call would be rejected.  New accounts being activated and debit card issued but properly will not be completed until Monday due to the holiday.  Thankfully the bank caught this as I did not receive any alerts on my phone when this was going on.  They rejected some of the purchases but the ATM transactions (made at the same bank that I use) went thru and have to fill out paperwork to get my money back which could take up to 45 days.  I check my accounts everyday but guess things can still happen.

« on: December 09, 2019, 02:24:03 pm »Message ID: 1304579
Closed all my tickets from 2017 and all of 2018 as it appears they will not be answered.  I did submitted a new  one Saturday for the same problem that has been happening for over a year and received an answer that the problem was fixed which is not.  Ticket was closed by FC so I submitted it again today.  Maybe it will be fixed some day.  Has any one else encountered this error message?

Off-Topic / New Brakes on SUV
« on: November 01, 2019, 05:37:21 pm »Message ID: 1299384
Posted this to the wrong forum so locked it and now moving it to the correct forum

My SUV has been making a sound only when I turn left.  Since it is still under warranty I wanted it taken to the dealer to be checked.  My husband insisted it was the brakes and they are not covered under the warranty (which I know).  So we took into the dealer and sure enough it was the brakes.  They wanted $812 to replace the brake pads and install new rotaries.  Thankfully my husband is handy and loves to work on cars and it only cost us $127.00.  So glad I have husband that is handy.  He has save us so much money over the years.
