Off-Topic / Re: Classic movies or newer movies?

I would say classics although my actual favorites tend to be from the 80s-90s, I'm not sure whether that counts as classics though.

Definitely! I grow them every year. I have over 25 in the house and there are still more green outside.

What a bummer. I think I will finish out this month just in case because I'm pretty close, but then am not spending any more time on it unless the payments catch up.

Off-Topic / Do you use cash much anymore?

I rarely have paper money on me anymore. I would rather pay with a card where I get some measly cash back. Do you keep cash on hand?

I suspect I had it but haven't been able to get an antibody test. My cousin has also tested positive but is asymptomatic.

This was certainly a better debate than the first one, I thought. The moderator was much closer to fair this time and both candidates were better behaved and more coherent.

Off-Topic / Re: Are we still on for trick or treating?

I actually am a little bit surprised trick or treating is still so big, I fear it will eventually become a thing of the past as everything in the world has to be bubble wrapped for safety. The more you think about it it kind of breaks all the safety rules we're all given the rest of the year. I won't open my door for one uniformed guy with a clipboard the other 364 days of the year but a group of masked strangers on halloween? Sure! Hi I'm a stranger, take some candy like they told you never to do.

I hope I get trick or treaters. I would hate to have to eat all my candy by myself.

Last year we got like 3 kids at the door. Then Nov 1 it was just me and a costco size bag of candy... and I had to get my moneys worth. lol

I've heard some rumblings about certain places wanting to cancel trick or treating this year for covid.  Seems like we're always hearing California news instead of our own local info. We haven't really heard anything here so I guess I'm still going to buy some candy. What's going on in your areas? Will you be answering the door?

Wow, what a horrific story. I admit I am on the fence about the death penalty in general but this person is a strong candidate.

Off-Topic / Lawn mowers

It's time to retire our old lawn mower from the stone age. Anyone have anything to say pro or con about corded electric vs. battery powered mowers? Battery sounds convenient but I kind of expect it to break before long.

Finally made a long overdue grocery run and it feels good to have some options again! Going to make broccoli and pork tonight.

Glad to hear it! I was trying to find some kind of live telescope broadcast to keep an eye on it but I guess I didn't miss anything.

We don't do daylight savings where I live and I don't know how y'all manage haha! All I know is twice a year I turn on my tv and get confused why all the shows seem to be on at the wrong time.
