I guess you could call me *bleep*, but I had problems using the timer plugin for Firefox. Sometimes it would just drop out and I wouldn't notice until I went to check and other times I suspected it of locking up my computer.
Also I have several computers in my room, so often I would get involved on another project and forget all about it (maybe even for hours) and not notice (even though the music was playing, DUH!).
Well now I can uninstall it with no worries.
My wife is an assistant at the school with special needs kids and they use countdown kitchen timers to keep track of events (like timeout for a kid) and she bought me one today at the Dollar Tree (Yes for only a buck). It works SWEET!
I set it for 10 minutes, then when it times out an alarm beeps, so I stop it until I do the captcha and start it again. Now it doesn't even matter if I leave the room as long as I stick the timer in my pocket.
I think I will make back the buck in a short time, but even if I don't, I am much happier with less stress.
