FusionCash / Banner Ads
« on: August 29, 2014, 10:09:42 am »Message ID: 913055
do you ever click on the banner ads on the FC forums? I click on the ones that look interesting, but so far they all seem to be come-ons. I have so much on my plate already that I really don't need to join any more sites, but it gets to be addicting and I can't help myself!  ;)

Off-Topic / Anyone use Virtapay?
« on: July 24, 2014, 09:43:52 am »Message ID: 902194
Virtapay is a digital payment processor, like Bitcoin. They've been around for a while, as a venue for buying and selling digital items using their Virtapay dollars, which didn't have any real value. Now they've converted the VP dollars to Virtacoins, which is a digital currency like Bitcoin. I've been a member for a long time, so now I want to access my balance, but I need to download the wallet. This wouldn't be a problem, except that they store all the blockchain info in the wallet, which is 20 gBs of data! I don't want that all on my computer, so I was wondering if there is a way to install the wallet on a 32gb flash drive. Has anyone done this?

FusionCash / Crowdflower frustration
« on: June 07, 2014, 02:45:26 pm »Message ID: 888173
I haven't done any tasks in a long time. Today when I went to do them, I found that I had to start an account with crowdflower! So I tried to sign up with Facebook, thinking that would be easier than entering a new email address and password, but they made me do that anyway. Then I had to verify my email address. I'm getting so tired of all these companies that want you to do everything online, but then they make you jump through a bunch of hoops to do it! Why cna't they just have an easy one-click sign up? It's ridiculous to have to make a crowflower account anyway, since I only access it through FC.

Off-Topic / ThredUp Offer?
« on: May 09, 2014, 08:22:42 am »Message ID: 878797
Does anyone know of a GPT site that has an offer for ThredUp? I wanted to request a box to send them clothes, and I know there used to be an offer for it, but now I can't find it in any of the sites I belong to. Of course, FC was the first site I checked.

Off-Topic / Enter button doesn't work in Opera
« on: March 08, 2014, 09:35:55 am »Message ID: 858933
I have a problem with the Opera browser. Some sites don't have a "Submit" button after filling in the captcha, so I usually just hit the "Enter" key on the keyboard. But this doesn't work in Opera. Is there some setting I need to change, or is it just a fault of the Opera browser itself?

Support / Terribly Buggy Videos!
« on: March 08, 2014, 08:59:04 am »Message ID: 858925
I'm having a huge problem with the 30 second videos that are marked "Watch this Video." The only browser they work in at all is Firefox, and even there, they keep freezing up Firefox until the error message pops up: "Shockwave plugin has crashed." Then I have to choose to "continue script," which freezes it up permanently, or "stop plugin", which works until the timer starts running down again. Is there anyway to get around this? It is unbelievably annoying.

Off-Topic / Looking for a widget
« on: February 24, 2014, 10:14:02 am »Message ID: 853934
I don't know if such a thing exists, but I am looking for a desktop widget that will allow me to rotate a small daily picture of quote up in the corner of my desktop. I don't want to rotate my wallpaper, but I just want a little desktop widget that I can add pictures and sayings into, and rotate them daily, either automatically or manually. I've searched all over, and can't find anything like that. And I don't know how to make a widget myself!

Off-Topic / Any free stuff sites like freecycle?
« on: January 29, 2014, 09:40:58 am »Message ID: 844581
Are there any other free sites like freecycle, where you can post your want lists or things you are offering for free? Freecycle is too hard to use, and I don't like all the emails I get every day (even though I tried to unsubscribe). Craigslist in our area doesn't have much.

Off-Topic / New characters in The Hobbit
« on: November 27, 2013, 08:39:04 am »Message ID: 822265
What do you all think about the addition of characters in the movie that were not in the book? I know that a lot of people who are fans of the book are mad because they think Peter Jackson is making up his own story instead of sticking to what’s in the book. But since I never read the book anyway, it’s not such a big deal to me.
I’m actually excited that Legolas will be in the last two movies. Actually I probably wouldn’t even watch them if it wasn’t for him, since I wasn’t very impressed with the first Hobbit movie compared to the LOTR movies (actually I wouldn’t have even watched the first one, but I wanted to start from the beginning of the story so I would know what’s going on in the second one). At least it’s not unreasonable to suppose that Legolas would have been in Mirkwood with his father at that time. What I don’t like is the addition of Tauriel. Not only is she a totally made up character that isn’t even anywhere in Tolkien’s writings, but she’ll be taking attention away from Legolas, which is totally unacceptable! Maybe she’ll get killed off, but probably not. The most I can hope for is that she has a small part.

Offers / Wow! Great Video day!
« on: November 07, 2013, 10:16:20 am »Message ID: 815459
I finally got a whole ton of videos in one day! I've already done 18, for 20 cents, and I probably have 10 left. It's too bad I have to get ready for work, and won't have time to watch them all. (Plus my data limit is sneaking up on me, and if I go over, I'll get punished for a day and won't be able to earn my 5 cents after tomorrows PTC). Fusion Cash is getting better and better! I hope these videos keep coming.

Off-Topic / Finding phone numbers online
« on: October 23, 2013, 09:52:20 am »Message ID: 808878
Since phone books are being phased out, how can we easily find phone numbers online? I don't have a problem with local businesses, but I can't seem to find individual numbers there. I go to whitepages.com, but they don't give phone numbers, unless you follow the links to other sites that make you pay for them. I WILL NOT PAY for a phone number that I could get free from the phone book! Am I overlooking something? Is there another site to go to? If I'm trying to look up a neighbor to call and tell them their cows got out, I don't want to spend an hour trying to find a phone number online!

Offers / Radio Loyalty not crediting?
« on: October 05, 2013, 08:29:34 am »Message ID: 802401
Is anyone having a problem with Radio Loyalty today? I've been listening for while, and filling in the captcha codes, and everything seems to be working right, but it's not showing up in my credited offers! Usually it shows instantly. Is there a glitch or something? I hate to use my internet data allowance and not get paid for it.

Off-Topic / Facebook Friends vs real friends
« on: September 16, 2013, 07:51:50 am »Message ID: 794553
How many of your Facebook friends are your friends in real life? I have a lot of Facebook friends that I've never met, mostly because of money-making programs and the like. I don't really have any close friends in real life, and my casual friends aren't on Facebook. But I guess it's just as well, because most of my free time I spend online anyway.
