I think it depend on what you need it for. My dad needs his laptop mostly for word processing, and it works fine. I do a lot of image editing, so I prefer my desktop pc.

i used to prefer a desktop, but with limited room,
my fiance and i can't both have desktops. i settled
for the laptop because it was handed down to me
from someone who upgraded, and i couldn't say no!

...it took a long time for me to get used to the laptop,
especially with no mouse and such. but i like that i can
take it anywhere. desktops definitely feel more stable,
but laptops are more convenient.

I like my desktop...but my husband is all laptop....
