To try once again to stop smoking. To let go of the past and forgive those that have hurt me. I guess to just be a better, healthier person.

Too true regarding smoking.  Someone gave me this suggestion and it really helped.  Cut out one cigarette a day from what you usually smoke. If that is too much then make it every two days.  It works and your body is able to quit gradually without withdrawal.

Same as this year, lose weight, eat healthier and to not waste money - I made a valiant effort this year, but I need to do better.

I agree, i've gone cold turkey for weeks at a time, but usually I always end up picking up another smoke because of craving & habit(like going to a casino, smoking while playing slots is a favorite of mine lol). Sometimes it's not even the nicotine, but it's the motion of smoking the cig that I need to do, if that makes any sense. Some people say "why not just stop?" and those are usually the ones sensible enough to never have picked up a cig in the first place.

chew some gum and get a pen worked for me, remember the cig robs you of money and life!!! Basically just keep your mind running, exercise, text play an instrument talk whatever just keep active and away from smoking, best of luck to those trying to quit

Yeah I'm chewing gum now, it helps me not smoke while driving, especially during traffic (another favorite past-time of mine lol).

Congratulations for quitting smoking!  That is not an easy task.  Now about New Year resolutions...
I think this year I want to remember that each day is one I won't get back so I want to live each day to it's fullest and happiest.
