Do you think smoking should be banned in ALL public places inside AND out?

ABSOLUTELY, smoking should be banned in public places.  I respect the rights of anyone who chooses to smoke, and at the same time I feel that they should be respect my right not to have to smell their foul odor.  If people want to smoke in their own home/car/whatever, that's fine with me, just please keep it away from me!

Ok, smoking in public places should indeed be banned and it is in many places. If people want to smoke in their own personal space, like their car and home thats their choice. I believe we all have the right to choose what we want to do.

I am a non-smoker and believe smoking should be banned in all indoor public places. However, I do believe adults who choose to smoke have that right and smoking outdoors should not be banned. :P

Definitely.  Smoking is bad for you and the person who also has to enhale second hand smoke.  It is one stinking, nasty habit.

YES!!!!  As a person who is seriously allergic to something in cigarettes I think that smoking should be banned in and outside public places.  Smoke yourself to death at home, in your car, outside your home - fine thats your choice, but dont give me broncitis for a full week, make me miss work and spend money to go to the doctor and get a Z Pak because you need your nicotine.

I think that if you can legally buy cigarettes you can smoke them.

People can do as they wish until it infringes upon the freedoms, rights, and well being of others in society.  The jury is no longer out on the harm of second hand smoking, so there is ample reason to keep smoking outside of public settings so everyone can enjoy them without unnecessary harm.  If people want to smoke outside, I don't really care, as long as they're not gathered around doorways or places where high volumes of people have to walk through it.

In my town allot of the public places have banned smoking, BUT there are a handful of places that still allow. I do not think they should ban. I agree with non smokers you do not want it around you, fine. I don't want to be around allot of certain things so I simply stay away. I doubt a smoker is just going to go up to anyone and blow smoke in someones face for the sheer pleasure of it. I think people should be more concerned about themselves and quit attacking people for what they do.
You know I watched a documentary on marijuana the other night and that's a topic I would love to see addressed to the fullest, most of you are probably unaware that if your STATE laws on weed (meaning if you get busted with a joint, dime bag, quarter, half pound, etc. etc.) If they want to fine you as a felon, you are unable to get ANY types of grants from the government, BUT if you kill someone OR rape a child or grown up you are still allowed and will receive help from the government. Come on people use your heads and think about things that really count. You can stay away from people that smoke. But your blinded by our government!!!!

I think that there should be a smoking ban in public places.  My husband smokes and I hate it that he smokes in the house around me and my son.  If smokers want to smoke outside that is find as long as they don't smoke right in front of the door.

I agree with smoking bans in public places, or at least seperating it from general areas
I have people in my family that I like to go out with that can not be around smoke (medical reasons) and i appreciate that with more public places going "smoke free' we are able to enjoy our outings more freely.

Should definitely be banned in any public INDOOR places, but outside is fine, but require a minimum distance from any building entrances, as well as anywhere that people might be a bit crowded at, like a bus stop.
