I always did. My poor Son was like the only kid that still believed in Santa. I believe, you mean there is NO Santa?
Why am I good all year? Who makes all the toys? Who eats the cookies? OMG...

We treated Santa Claus as just a fun make believe character.  It was fun to read stories about him (and Rudolph) but the baby Jesus was the real reason we celebrate Christmas.

Santa fits into the fairy tale realm of childhood....Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, Easter Bunny....fun, but NOT real

i will tell my kids there is a Santa when and if I ever have kids. It gives them something to believe in and makes them happy and when the right time comes they will learn the truth and will move on...

Hello friends,

We never told our kids Santa was real...we said that he was like Barney...it did cause a few problems with the neighbors when they were young.  The neighbors parents came to us and asked us not to let our kids tell theirs that Santa wasn't real!

i believe that it is ok to let them think there is a santa and childhood goes by so quickly, we need to let them have their dreams. :angel11:

I completely agree with you.  We do the same.  I have always let him know the true reason for the season.

No because there is only one God to whom I give praise who knows what everyone is doing and is the giver of all things. I will NOT tell them a lie about SANTA SATAN the GREAT IMPOSTER! http://av1611.org/othpubls/santa.html
I will tell them of Jesus and how he gave us eternal life. I do not live to worship false gods. Not anymore I have seen the light.

Considering I don't have "kids" any longer... I don't remember if I ever directly told them there was a Santa Claus or if they just brought into the hype. Nor do I remember if I ever told them there wasn't a Santa Claus, I think they both just figured it out.

I have always told my kids that there was a Santa,... not only does it make them excellent children around Christmas time.. but always helps them take better pictures with Santa instead of being scared.
