Snow...
« on: December 18, 2009, 06:19:58 pm »
So is anyone going to be affected by the big snowstorm this weekend?  I'm in MD and we're supposed to be getting 1 to 2 feet how crazy?!?  It was supposed to be 2 to 6 inches and then they changed it guess that's the way it always is.

I'm in MD as well -- it is already snowing here.  I work in B'more (but live South) - people are freaking out -- I also heard 2 inches and then suddenly it was "the worst storm since 1996" and we are suppose to get more than 1 foot of snow with heavy winds

For those of you not from MD -- this is a HUGE deal for Maryland -- it is NOT common here to get this kind of snow.

I think people are really going insane around here no snow here yet but I live right at the southern Baltimore line but it will be soon I'm sure.  I work in a shoe store and one of my friends works for another one of our stores and she sent me pictures of all the boot sections and they are all EMPTY people are nuts the grocery stores are packed it's like people are allergic to the word snow.

for comical relief -- people here also buy out the toilet paper, milk and bread from all of the stores.

it is now officially been snowing here for about 20 minutes (maybe a bit longer)

Oh and EVERYTHING is closed tomorrow --

I know I work at the mall and they already told me I didn't have to come in.  Gotta love how people panic that's why I keep TP, bread, milk, etc in my house all the time any little thing and everyone goes nuts!

this morning when i woke up we had about 8 inches.... now it has continued to snow and the wind is fierce so there are some parts of the parking lot that you can't see the cars that are in the parking lot!

I am in PA and we probably already have close to a foot of snow, with no end in site.  I was going to finish my holiday shopping today, but I guess not.  The stores will lose a lot of business today. Instead, I will spend hours shoveling snow.  I hate shoveling snow and the cold weather.
