I sure didn't vote for him
"He" hasn't signed it yet.
He most likely will but this was the senate not the prez who voted.

From what I read it is not a done deal yet.

Obama and the democrats have been pushing for it. Obama is trying to freak out americans by saying we will all die if it doesn't go through. As far as I know, we have made it just fine since Medicare was put in in the 1930s. Obama should be killed for a terrible president he is and Harry Reid will burn in hell.

Your Democrats don't want you to figure out what is in this bill so they passed it quickly. It will only help 10% of us and the other 90%...well we will be stuck paying ridiculous amounts to a government who is now monopolizing health care and will raise prices, spend MORE SPEND MORE SPEND MORE GO MORE IN DEBT SPEND MORE and then TAX TAX TAX MORE.

Thank you for all of the idiots who voted for Obama. Do you still see hope and change? You are truly the idiots.
"MY" Democrats??

Well what a great xmas gift, but really you shouldn't have, especially considering I don't even vote in "YOUR" governments elections.

.....now I guess I have to come up with something equally useless to give to you in return huh?

As opposed to a man who pretty much wanted a similar bill in place...who had many health problems...and a laughing-stock of a VP. Thanks for the well-thought conclusion.

!!!!!!EVERYONE VOTE RON PAUL 2012!!!!!!

Correct. There are many more steps to this than the one this morning. Granted we have a dem majority now...let us hope they wise up and be more cautious of this potential bomb.

Does anyone care that millions are walking around without healthcare, take for example, the mom with 3 kids, husband got bored and wanted to look for someone younger and left the mom, no child support to pay bills nothing, she has to work 2 part time jobs, and can't even pay bills, and health care, forget that, neither of the jobs offer it. So what are her kids supposed to do.
This is an example, I am not in this situation, but I have seen many who are, and until you see some of the poor and middle class in this country fighting to pay bills, keep food on the table, and no healthcare, you cannot speak for them.

There are plenty of government programs and charitable organizations to help people that are down on their luck.  Too many programs, if you ask me.

Scruffy seconds this.

I worked my way up from an impoverished home into a decent life with coverage and financial stability.
It CAN be done.

Too many people play it fast and lose with their finances and expect someone to bail them out.
Hence why the American economy is the way it is currently.

Well yeah this is a major part of it...but it's also caused by banks and businesses being ridiculously naive and lending out cash to these people. With all these bailout packages that are being released, are we simply rewarding failure?

All I can think is when I hear people screaming and complaining about these kinds of things is, it must no be too bad because you KEEP HAVING BABIES!!!!!!!!!!

I will never have kids because LIFE SUCKS.

I am sorry that you seem troubled or unhappy.  Life is not a bed of roses all of the time, but it certainly does not "suck"

I really have no desire to get into what the Tea Party Movement wants.  I will say I think it's reasonable to assume most of the Tea Party goers are conservatives who supported, and probably continue to support, our efforts in the Middle East.  I find that slightly odd given they're generally opposed to taxation (or overbearing taxation) and government spending.
No, they're generally Libertarian, and they don't want foreign wars or a large standing military.

I can speak for them, because I am a young mother.  I have three kids and although I am married, my husbands job requires almost $300 a week out of his paycheck to cover the insurance.  On the other hand, we make too much money for Medicaid.
