Meeting On-line could you find real Love?

I would say it is possible, just have to be more careful and aware that people can hide more behind a computer. What do you think?

I agree that people can hide behind a computer. But people are not always genuine in person either. I defininely think it's a good way to get to know people you may have otherwise never met.

I think the idea of finding a partner online is stupid. Anyone who does this needs to get out into the world. I understand if you don't have time, but if you're really that eager for a partner that you can pay to join date sites and what not, make some time.  ::)

Some people don't like meeting drunken bastards/sluts at bars. Unfortunately in a lot of places this is one of the very very few places to meet people.

I think it's fine. My moms coworker got married to a man she met online. Good couple. Contrary to that, my good friend met with 3 guys on match.com and they were all morons on the prowl for *bleep*. Personally I've never done it though I was forced by the same friend to produce a profile on okcupid but it wasn't in my blood to go any further with it.

But I go out on dates all the time. I met one girl on a train that hit a woman who commited suicide infront of it (it's a long story...). Strange meeting place, right? But I'm one to believe it's not too important where you meet...it's getting to know them and everything following that event.

I met my boyfriend (going on six years) from an ad I placed on an online forum.  I was just looking for more people to make friends with and he was the only one that stuck and we developed from there.

ONLINE DATING.... hmmm I have personally seen a friend of mine be drug through the mud by his so-called online girlfriend so many times it isn't funny but they always seem to get back together! ( i personally wouldn't do it but whatever floats your boat, We all make mistakes and hopefully learn from them!)

I think it's a hit or miss type of situation.
I met my husband, married 2 years, together for 6, though a personals site.  We met after talking for two weeks and have been together since.
On the other hand, a good friend of ours has had nothing but bad luck with his online choices.  A lot of that, though, has to do with the fact that he isn't making smart decisions.
