Vacation
« on: January 15, 2010, 09:45:55 pm »
Okay...let's talk about something positive: vacations!!

No specific questions here, but maybe talk about either a favorite vacation, best
vacation or worst vacation experience, your dream vacation ("If I could go anywhere..." lol)...

I know my favorite vacation was going to Europe four summers ago: London, Germany, Austria..
amazing countries! At the same time, it was probably one of my most memorable experiences
b/c we got caught in the whole airport mess at Heathrow when the liquid bombers were there...
we were flying back  the day after and oh man, what a crazy/long day that was....
I'll never forget! I'll also be enternally grateful that the guys were caught...I might not be ALIVE otherwise!

Someday, I want to visit Australia, Africa, Hawaii (to say the least)

We got to look forward to the bigger picture. The reward.
As far as now, no vacations planned yet.
Hopefully we will get the camping gear out that we bought last summer, the rowboat, the tent, the new fishing poles that we haven't got to use yet, since I was hit by a car we did not get to go. We got to look at all the things we do have and not so much the things we don't.

I think a nice vacation is just relaxing at the lake, sitting on the dock, wading in the water, or taking a boat out. That is a vacation to me.

hahahah @ jongarton lol, but yeah i really need to get away. I've been trapped out here in the country for wayyy to long and there ARNT ANY JOBS!! I would really like to visit Amsterdam and England. I've been to Hawaii multiple times, better get out there soon before it gets washed away :P It gets uglier yearly, believe me. Hopefully going back coming up though for my sisters wedding, would be nice now that im grown up. But yeah if you like the city go to Honolulu and walk everywhere, if you want country/beachs/absolutely nothing go to Molokai. If you want inbetween go to any of the islands in between :P But yeah London and Austria sound nice, what'd you visit?

Vacations must be 3 weeks long.  The first one your unwinding, the 2nd your just getting into the spirit of being on vacation, the third you are relaxed and enjoying your vacation.  This is a great recipe for going back to work refreshed and with a new outlook on how important the petty stuff is!
