I sell on eBay and Amazon. For items that I have a specific value I want to receive I'll list on Amazon since I can name my price. If I'm trying to get rid of extra clothes and things lying around the house I'll throw them up on eBay. If they don't sell I'll donate them to a local charity.

I have lately just been buying to resell from ebay. Occasionally I'll put up an item or two if I'm overstocked on something, but for the most part, just making free money, like some other site that I know of  ;)

I've sold a few things on eBay.  Some PS2 games and a Japanese PS2, and when the GameCube came out many years ago, I went to a store at 5 AM to wait in line to get one and sold it on eBay and profited $75.

ebay is in big trouble - they took their sellers for granted - now they must pay - depending on what you are selling you will find better and more customers at other sites - i would never use them again even if they pay me - had a proshop and ebay caused more problems than they were worth - besides there are many free local seller sites available now - IMHO >> In My Humble Opinion - The MUSEUM, Zazzle, deviantART, ArtFire, FineArtAmerica

Health, Happiness, Peace and Positive Prospective -- jGibney

Two things...

One, what do you mean they're in big trouble and took their sellers for granted?  As far as I know, eBay is doing fine as a company.  They're not going away any time soon.  Yeah, you can often find things cheaper on Craigslist and arrange a local pickup and avoid shipping, and I CERTAINLY would NEVER buy computer hardware from eBay (NewEgg and TigerDirect's prices are unbeatable!), but for random stuff like collector's items, eBay can't be beat!

My other question for you...

Why do you end every post with " - IMHO >> In My Humble Opinion - The MUSEUM, Zazzle, deviantART, ArtFire, FineArtAmerica" ?   Why don't you just put that in your signature?

I have, but I hate the way they shove paypal up in my face. Warning! When they say buyer protection, that means they're leaving honest sellers out to be screwed.

Yes, I have Sold and Bought on Ebay...but Selling to make a lot of money on Ebay is tough especially with all the fees, unless you have some really unique stuff to sell and the s/h doesn't cost too much ...

I have sold serval things on ebay.  The main thing that I sell are my sons clothing as he out grows them.  I sell one season to get money for the next season.  It works out pretty good.

So is it worth it?  I have 6 kids - so I have TONS of clothes and toys I could sell.  My Aunt also makes things out of wood and paints them.
They are really nice.  But I don't want to lose out  because of shipping fees or other fees.... I guess I'll just have to give it a shot.   ::)

with flat-rate boxes, if the item fits, it ships !

I use the $4.95 for quite a few things and it really pays off

there are others sizes and amounts to cover bigger items

There is a $10 box, that you could fit a dead body in lol

I have been selling on eBay for quite a few years.  I read about all the complaints and horror stories but I can honestly say my experience has been very positive.  You just have to roll with the changes and adjust your business as needed.  They are in the business of making money just like any other company.

If you use common sense and have a professional attitude your experience will be positive also.  I just started as a Trading Assistant also which has helped me expand my product base.

I still enjoy selling on eBay very much.

Loooove ebay. I've actually sold so much stuff that I no longer can really find anything around the house that I don't use / don't need.  :-X
