:cat:  I am Baptist.  When I was a child, my grandfather was a Canon in the Episcopal Church, so I had to go there whenever I spent time with them.
I learned a lot there, and it was very formal to me.  When I got saved, I was attending a Baptist church and I still go to a Baptist church.

I was born Baptist. Was Baptised once as a child and later in my early 20s. But I am Pagan. Their beliefs fit me than any other religion.

There is no such thing as an Native American religion, with the possible exception of the Native American Church(N.A.C.) which is very contemporary and was originally and often still is based on some christian doctrines.

Any of these  nu-age belief systems are not only not honoring the Ancestors, in my opinion make a down right mockery of sacrifices made by the Elders while protecting and preserving the old ways.

If it ain't broke...don't fix it, our Spirituality has worked very well for us for untold thousands of years.
If it has been effective that long....it's plenty good enough for me!

In actuality Native American beliefs are classified with in Paganism. As is Wiccan Druidism and many others.  Paganism has many different branches with in it but they all lead back to Spirituality and respecting nature and time.

I really got into my Native American heritage years ago. I started out on the Wiccan side of Paganism but did not feel that it as really me. I am more on the side of spirituality Nature Love Spirits and so forth. Whether there is a heaven or hell I shall wait and see. To me though I believe in reincarnation more. I believe in Karma. I even have a triquetra tatoo that I got about 10 years ago and still do not regret getting.

I've dropped religion from my life and replaced it with spirituality. Less bigotry and prejudices, you see. Might not go to "heaven" but at least I'm no snob.

This is pretty much hat Paganism is about.  :bunny:

I was raised Roman Catholic, but since I have read several spiritual books, I have left organized religion and consider myself to be a spiritualist.

I was raised  Baptist but way in my later years of life, I started going to a Methodist church. I do not consider myself one or the other. I consider myself a follower of God. I don't feel a label is important.  I have experienced all different types of beliefs. The one thing that I am sure of is that in the end we all are the same and striving for the same results.  :angel11:

I was born into a christian family. I was baptized as an infant under the baptist faith. Just recently, I started my journey to become a catholic, roman catholc. My husband is hispanic and roman catholic. Our two children will be baptized and raised as catholics, but may choose any religion that they desire when they get older.

I'm a catholic, but I don't really practice religion. I have learned that it's just not for me...I spent years going through all the sacraments and teaching them as well.
I found that I didn't fully believe in my religion and decided to just believe in God and go with the flow of things in life.

My father is agnostic, his father was a Pentecostal preacher, and my mother is Baptist, but is non-practicing.  She believes in Jesus, but says she has no fondness for many of his followers as she believes many are hypocrites.  When I was in junior high, I began attending church, first at a Pentecostal church then to a Church of God and was baptized when I was 14, but I had many issues with the religion especially when I began reading the Bible and found I interpreted it differently than my pastor, and then when I saw how my pastor and his family lived... so I began to study religion on my own.  This became an issue at my church and was told by my pastor that I was bound for hell because I owned a copy of the Tibetan Book of the Dead.  I then cut ties with the church because that judgmental view did not fly with me.  I read more and more on my own, and when I was in college, a good friend of mine introduced me to Reform Judaism.  Once I began to attend services at the temple, it felt like things began to fall into place and make sense to me, and as I studied with my rabbi, I found that my interpretations and views matched with the faith.  I never gave my rabbi a chance to turn me away from conversion, because during our study I always said I was considering conversion until I had my "Aha!" moment and I informed him that whether or not he agreed to perform the ceremony that I was Jewish.  I told him that I would like to have his approval, but I didn't need it.  Two months later I was official.  I've been tossing around he idea of deepening my commitment with my faith by either studying to become a Cantor (the one who leads the music and singing) or Rabbi... even though I already consider myself to be a teacher of sorts.   :notworthy:

I'm Apostolic...as in the Apostles Doctrine (Acts 2:38).  I was raised strict Lutheran which was just a bit removed from the Catholic religion.  At 20 yo, I was born again according to the Book of Acts, and never looked back.  Ordained as an Evangelist.

Born Catholic, now Christian.... I see the difference now. I accepted Jesus in my heart the right way, the only way now I see many things Catholics don't see or don't want to accept, or maybe even don't understand. One of the Ten Commandments is NOT to have any graven image and there they are ..... :angry7: :BangHead: I don't know how they say they follow the Ten Commandments. They have MANY Saints ..... images.
