OK to use multiple PCs?
« on: November 26, 2007, 05:37:48 pm »
Newbie here- searched to see if this had been posted but didn't see anything.  Apologies if this is general knowledge.

Can you use multiple computers when completing offers?  For instance, I've got my computer at work, a desktop at home, and a laptop at home.  Can I use all three at various points throughout the day, or should I stick to only using one?  I know some other sites will ban you if you show up using more than one IP address and I'd prefer that not to happen to me here.

Thanks!

You can only use your home computer to complete offers and only one person per household.  You will be banned if you use more than one IP address.   :sad1:

Best of luck to you though and Welcome to the Fusion family!!

Thanks for the reply Madd.  I looked at the TOS more closely after I posted and figured that'd be the case- d'oh.  Guess I'll have to find some other less profitable way to pass the dead time at work  :dontknow:

I hear ya, Jay.  Have the same problem when I'm in the office and I can't even sign on to the Forum.   :sad1:

This may be a dumb question... but I use one computer (my laptop) at home and at school... will it show up as 2 IP addresses if I bring my laptop to school and sign on to FC from there? Or should I just do offers at home?

I have time in between classes, and it would be nice to be able to kill some time and do some offers at school.

It will pick up the IP address of whatever internet connection you are using.  So, if you are at school and using their connection, then it would be a separate IP address from the IP address you signed up with, not to mention it would be considered a "public" IP address, and that in itself is against the rules.  :dog:

There is a way! Set up TightVNC (a free download) with your home computer as a server and your laptop as a client, then you can run your home pc from work and it will use the home pc IP address.

So far I'm the highest earner in this thread.  I'll be more than happy to show anyone how to duplicate my actions to earn higher payments...

oldbuddy I still think that would be against FC's TOS. Better to ask first though than to run the risk of having your FC account terminated.  :dontknow:

How can it be against the TOS? You are just running your home computer remotely.

Well, I dont think this is smart to not let you use your laptop when you for ex. going somewhere for a week or longer... Or that you also can not use it from your office comp. I mean its one the same account and you dont do nothing wrong you just want to spand more time doing surveys ... Right???    :dontknow:

From a section in FC's TOS:
Users must log in and use FusionCash on their own personal computer and internet connection only. The use of a FusionCash account on a public or shared computer, or public internet connection is grounds for disqualification. You may not access your FusionCash account on the same computer or internet connection as your referrer, referral, or any other FusionCash user. Violation of this term may be considered grounds for disqualification of any and all users involved.

They, FC, does not go by your account name, they go by the address that your computer sends out each time you use it. In laymens terms: It's their way of identifying your computer. Using a different computer other than the one you used when you created your account here, will have a totally different identification number.

What someone in this thread was talking about was a program that you can download to say, a laptop, that will give it the same identification as the computer you use when you access your account here. That way you can be somewhere other than home to access your account here but it will be like you're at home b/c it will be identified as the same computer you signed up here with.

Hope this explained it w/out being too confusing for you.
Best of Luck to You.
