Yahoo Success Kit, Be Careful!
« on: November 28, 2007, 09:23:27 pm »
First of all. . .I did receive credit for this offer so my remarks aren't biased. I only wish to warn everyone else.

1)Yahoo Success kit says 'nothing' about a reoccurring fee when you sign up there is in fact a $49.99 reoccurring fee when you order the digital download for $1.49

2) There are over 60 reports on ripoffreport.com of this website in the last year old (which is what prompted me to cancel)

3) Even after canceling just 4 days into my free trial I just today recieved a $49.99 bill on my bank statement from them, After canceling the free trial. I will be calling them tomorrow in the AM to settle things straight (Cancellation numbers and all), however, from the reports on ripoffreport.com they seem very adamant about there "No Refund Policy".

I sent in a ticket to fushioncash explaining all of this, except point 3, about a week ago and they said they would look into it. Well, now I'm living proof of being scammed. It's highly upsetting that almost all of the money I will make here on fushioncash in the next month will be forced into going to Yahoo Success Kit because of there horribly service and/or lack of a soul.

You can flame me all you want but as I understand it anything about a sponsor can be posted here as long as the claims aren't 'unfounded'. I believe this picture, of both the original charge and the new charge from 4 days ago (which just now showed up on my statement today) prove that something is wrong with this company. http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/9962/58766612xz6.jpg. I implore the staff here to look into this and find out why this company is taking advantage of people being redirected to their site. I may be out $49.99 (a lot for a college student) but I can hopefully save others.

A quick update after looking through my e-mail. . .
On 11/12 I have an e-mail confirming that I ended my service.
On 11/23 I have a "Pre-bill" notification that got lost within my junk mail folder with 3,000 other e-mails.

If my service was confirmed as being canceled why am I still getting billed.
Quote
Your next monthly membership/service fee billing of $59.90 is scheduled
on 11/25/2007 and will continue to be billed monthly to the credit
card you provided at sign up unless cancelled by you by contacting our
 customer service team at 1-800-497-4988.

Refund Policy:
While you may cancel your subscription at any time, once the billing
date for a given month has passed all sales are final.

It looks like I will have to make a call not only to Pacific Webworks (again) but also to my bank to have this charge reversed.

i just did this offer on another site and i am sorry but..... if you read their entire tos you will see it does state about the 49.99 fee.. so you just have to make sure you read everything before signing up. just like signing something.  you alreadys read it all 1st so you don't end up signing your life away.

Doesn't matter. The point is I cancelled well within the 2 week period, was given confirmation of canceling and a cancellation number and was still charged $49.90 for a service I'm apparently still signed up for (by the e-mail I received). I've been told this company refuses to give out any refunds and am not hopeful about receiving one.

The problem with the offer is that the only mention of any trial period, reoccuring payment or subscription at all is in the Terms of Service. Pacific Webworks does this knowing most people won't read the Terms of Service and end up paying for months with no idea. Luckily I found out about Yahoo Success Kit's unorthodox practices before it was too late, unfortunately, I'm still paying for something that I thought I had already fixed.

I've already filed with the BBB but according to there site they have an "unsatisfactory" report based on refusing to give refunds after the trial period is over. I still need to call them in 3 hours when they open to make sure my account is actually closed this time and my bank to hopefully reverse this assanine charge.

You should always read the Terms of Service before signing up to anything. If you have not already ,please read FusionCash's Terms of Service.

I did read the Yahoo Success Kit terms of service. The fact is I actually did cancel my terms because of unsatisfactory reports on ripoffreport.com and The BBB. I was assured It had been canceled and was even given a cancellation number, however, I was still charged 2 weeks after canceling.

I have also read FusionCash's terms of service and from what I understand I can post negative claims against a company in this forum as long as they are not biased because I did not recieve credit and they can be proven, which I believe I have done to a satisfactory degree. Considering the "high standards" Fusioncash has I trust you guys when I look at and sign up for an offer thus I was highly disappointed in this case.

Note: I did call the company the minute there phone service opened up this morning. The guy at billing confirmed my account had been canceled but that I was still being billed. I asked him to make sure this mistake is fixed and was assured I would not be billed next month, even though I got the same response the last time I called them. It took forever but I did get promise of a refund after countless arguing about the "No Refund" policy. I think he finally realized that I had obviously followed there Terms of Service and I was not at fault here by the end of it. I have 10 business days to find out if he is full of just as much hot air as the first guy I talked to.

I believe that this topic is important not just because I was ripped off but because if you look at the BBB website you'll notice they are marked as unsatisfactory and if you look at ripoffreport.com you'll notice this company has caused grief with many people without promise of any refunds. Considering the high standards I believe fusioncash to uphold (through my experience in almost every other offer I've completed and every other company i've dealt with) I think this thread should be taking very seriously.

Correct it does, but the fact, again, is that I was charged after the trial period even after ending my service with the company weeks prior. If you read the Terms of Service you'll notice it does state you'll only be charged if you, or the company does not terminate service first by calling or sending in by snail mail.

yes, you are correct about that. i agree with you there. like i said before....i didnt like the way the TOS was worded--it sounded like harsh or something....its kinda hard to explain the way i felt when i read it. i guess "leary" would be a good word! sounded like it would be difficult to get out of if it turned out that i didnt like the service after all. something i didnt want to chance. im sorry you are going through this mess!

2. Respect our advertisers -- Do not discuss cancellation or post disparaging remarks

This is a big one. We rely on the relationship between ourselves and the advertisers and companies we work with to be able to bring you the best offers that are out there. We need our members to understand that the advertisers are paying you to be a member. Please do offers that you are interested in, and not just do them because it has a 20 dollar payout. I hear people all the time whining about an offer that did not credit, but if they were truly interested in the offer it would not be that big of a deal because they wanted the product/service to begin with and the cash they get back from that is just something on the side. As long as you respect our advertisers, you may state your honest opinion of them – saying "This offer sucks!" or "This offer is a scam!" is not an honest opinion since it is speaking  out of anger.
This is my fair and honest opinion of the offer using my personal experience as proof as well as reports from many other individuals to back up my own statements. I Believe I'm well within the confines of the rules by posting this. There is zero reasonable way to get this message across without making the fact that I canceled clear because the fact is the problem came when I did indeed cancel.

A staff member has already posted here, I think if he felt I were blatantly violating rules and was doing this to defame a company just for the sake of defaming a company as opposed to saving other people the stress I've gone through (and possible will go through in the next 10 days) he would have warned me and got rid of this thread.

FYI: i wasnt talking about cancelling anything, I was talking about not wanting to do the offer in the first place because i didnt like the way the offers TOS was written. so lets get our facts straight here. deciding to not do an offer in the first place is clearly different from what you are accusing me of.
