Respect often comes with having power and money. The more humble way is to ask for respect first, but in this day and age...well, you know that money and power does help a great deal of gaining respect. Whether the respect comes from deep down inside, love or whereever else, it is still respect. I find that most people are looking for wealth and power to gain respect. You can have respect with $ and power, but it's just not the same. It's like going to the movies and getting soft drink without any popcorn.

Respect and money is a necessary and important element in life, but its not most important becuse having financial success is nothing without having someone to share it with, weather it be family or friends, and respect is very important because if no one respects you it can have a very negative effect on your life and career also relationships in short, we need both money and respect one is no good without the other but ultimately it is much better to have a full happy life and love over all.

Neither is better then the other and in the end it is the mark we leave on others and what people remember about you that counts yes respect should be one thing people think and remember about you, because you cant take money with you at the end of life so if I had to really choose I would choose to have respect first money second but not over love.

You have that backwards, money and power come with respect.

Money can buy power and respect. Respect can get you power and money. Power can get you money...but not respect.

That's true, but does buying respect really give you respect?  If you run out of money, do you still get respect?

Besides, if you wanted the other two so badly, you can get them if you have enough respect.

Yup, that's how it works, if you are determined and respected enough to get it.

Power money- When you have money, you are respected...respectable!

Actually, when you have money, people generally pretend to like you to get that money, but when you are out of money, they turn your back on you.  What kind of respect is that?

People usually disrespect those ones without money because they seem to be powerless! Money is power! If not, try to move or buy without money...it is almost impossible.

Money only gets you fake respect, however if you earn respect, you will get respect, and it will be true respect.  Along with that respect may come money and power, but that's if you are determined and respected enough to get it.

RESPECT

I agree that respect is more important.  When others respect you then things like power and money come your way.  Maybe not the amount of power or money you want, but you get what you earn.  Sure money is nice and we all would like to be in control all the time,  but after you have those things and realize that they really don't make you happy, then you realize what's iimportant.  I would much rather have the respect of those around me than either money or power.
