People have the RIGHT to have as many kids as they want! Your opinion is not required not needed. You can educate and preach all you want but people will do what they are going to do.

Just did a little poking around and look what I found:

<<Quote from: marieelissa on April 17, 2010, 05:08:18 pm
A lot of you posters want to sit back and always talk about Science but that is the very reason there is Global Warming. Then you know the havoc it will cause on this planet and continue having children like it is ok. It's not ok! The children will suffer, but you, the parent's will most likely die before it happens.>>

And I responded:

<<I 100% agree with you on this one!  There needs to be a 1-2 kid limit before we kill ourselves.  In an ideal world, people under a certain I.Q. should not be allowed to breed.>>

Hmm, hypocrite pwnage!

Well shut up then. If you can't change something then shut up. Quit complaining about things you have no control over and adapt.

Can you ever reply to something you don't agree with in a remotely respectful way? "Shut up" twice in one reply? What are you, 6 years old? You seem to issue an awful lot of orders to people on here who's lives you know absolutely nothing about and you're also blatantly rude on top of that.
Now I'll be rude, but I will put it in 'adult words', hope you can keep up. I remember you saying you had NO desire to have children. Thank you for that (and I hope you stick to it) because you would make a lousy parent and we have enough of those already.
Atheism is NOT a counter argument to every topic on here, so please stop using it. Note I did not say "Shut up about it" because even though I feel you are an ignorant blowhard, I was taught manners.
Think about taking a look at how you conduct yourself. You do NOT speak, think, or act in a manner of a Christian or any other type of 'believer', regardless of their religion. I have many hours of study in that area and you are a black mark on all you claim to stand for.
You are entitled to your own opinion, but you are not entitled to your own facts.

I just don't agree at all.  My religion is definitly the reason why I disagree with this.  I just believe that suicide in any form is a sin.

Not to belittle mankind or anything, but would you let your dog suffer if it was sick? We are all animals, my friends! :peace:

it is against the law. If they want to make it legal and allow us to vote then I will vote no, but I wouldn't want to be the Doctor doing the killing. It is killing but mercy killing.

Perhaps if you were ever in the position of utmost suffering on a hospital bed, you'd change your mind.  And yes, it is "mercy killing", so I don't know why you called it murder before.

This is a very difficult topic, becaue I have known so many people who have died of horribly painful diseases, that required Morphin, in the end.....it is absolutely painful to watch someone you love go through the pain and agony of cancer, or some other dibilitating disease, with no hope for survival.  Terminally ill patients should have the option of making the choice to end their life, through a living will, if there IS NO HOPE for survival, and the person is simply wasting away, in excrutiating pain.  It's the merciful thing to do. :angel11:

I understand euthanasia.  I'd like to say I support it...But I'm just not sure if it's right.

If a person knows they will be a burden and will die from a terminable illness it should be the decision of that individual as to if they want to live or not.

I worked as a STNA,  MRDD Caregiver, CNA, and a Home Health Aide.   I know what it is like to watch someone suffer because the so called law  can't collect money from a dead person.  It disgusts me the way the government takes control of someone's life for the almighty dollar.

Seen a woman who was completely paralyzed, could not speak, and how to be tube fed. Saw her husband weep to see his wife in that condition.  The kid's couldn't even come to visit because of their mother's condition.  The grandchildren never smiled. What kind of life was this for a family?

AND MURDER IS MURDER! YOU CANNOT KILL SOMEONE, THE ONLY THING YOU CAN DO IS MAKE THEM COMFORTABLE.

Am I "murdering" my skin cells every time I scratch my nose?

Aren't all of our soldiers "murdering" the bad guys over in the Middle East?

Isn't it "murder" to kill cats and dogs SO THEY DON'T SUFFER due to illness or injury?

Isn't meat MURDER?

Where do you draw the line??

I like the way you think!! I don't know if I can choose a side but you make a really good point :)

Thank you!  :)

Also, aren't we "murdering" millions of potential children every time seed is spilled that does not create a baby?  I don't think so, but you can see where that ridiculous line of thinking gets you.  ;)

all of you guys have good points, but you all have to look on both sides.

Side A: assisted suicide is wrong and immoral. committing suicide is the ultimate sin and helping someone do it and is just as bad as murder.

Side B: the only reason people do it is because they will die in about a week anyway. they can barely even stand to look at their families knowing they burden they must be causing on the ones they love. wanting to just end it quickly, but too weak to do it themselves, they get someone to help them. and thus, assisted suicide is born.

They may have much longer than a week to live.

What about people who are brain dead, does anybody feel bad about pulling the plug on them?  Is that not doctor-assisted suicide?  Oh wait, they are already dead in the sense that matters.

:D  It is not suicide...it is a provoked or facilitated homicide. Murder...yes...murder!

I think that a terminal patient who is in terrible pain should be given a morphine pump. When the pain becomes overwhelming, he---or someone he has designated---pushes a button to release a dose. If the pain is too ghastly, at some point, there may be an overdose--or not. Once given control over their physical pain, many do not choose suicide. The issue is not about playing God. It's about doing what we can to relieve the suffering that comes for many of us as our lives draw to a close. If some choose to experience the suffering without medication, that is their personal choice. They have no right to inflict it on others.
