A nervous taxpayer was unhappily conversing with the IRS Tax auditor who had come to review his records. At one point the auditor exclaimed,
     
      "Mr. Carr, we feel it is a great privilege to be allowed to live and work in the USA. As a citizen you have an obligation to pay taxes, and we expect you to eagerly pay them with a smile."
     
      "Thank goodness," returned Mr. Carr, with a giant grin on his face from ear to ear" "I thought you were going to want me to pay with cash."

An 85-year-old widow went on a blind date with a 90-year-old man.

If only it were true, me and my husband was figuring what we pay in taxes and we realized that just the taxes that we pay the government, we could not only afford what we pay on rent, but probably something more expensive. It is sad, that we have to live poor when we make middle class money, because the government takes so much, that we cannot hardly afford our bills, and I think something should be done about this, the middle class should not have to pay as much, cuz it truly does hurt. A poor person collecting benefits, lives better than the middle class, because we support them too.
