When my son was little I used to make the stories up as I would go, it was so much fun, he learned how to have a good imagination as well. Interactive story telling. Lets the kids take more of an aggressive part.

I read to all of my kids at bedtime and anytime for that matter. Each of my children has been successful in school an excellent readers. I like to think that it had something to do with the fact that I took the time to read to them when they were little.

I used to when they were young. Now my Son reads to his daughter before she goes to bed so maybe its a lasting legacy as well.

I used to read to my kids before bed and any other time that they wanted to hear a story. I like to think that it helped them to be more successful in school.

Yes, I read to my daughter every night before bed. She has a few collections of Disney stories and she gets to pick one every night. She is 4.5 years old.

I remember my mom reading to me up until I was probably in middle school. I loved it, and I always loved to read as a kid.

I used to read to them at nap time more so than at bedtime. Nothing much worked with the younger one. He wasn't a napper!
