They are a bit intimadating. If they are raised right I think they make a good pet.

My cousin has the prettiest pit bull, I don't think I've ever seen a dog just that color before..

If they are raised with love and care they are a great dog.  years ago, i had 7 of them at one time.  they were all loving dogs.  course they looked like they could tear ur head off.

I think they are a beautiful and distinctive breed, and I like them.  I just think some people shouldn't do the things that they do with them-ie dog fighting. People that do this have a lack of any emotional attatchment to their pet, its more about the money. Just as long as you don't fight them, thats cool!

They're an awesome dog. They're so misunderstood.

yea i believe pitbulls are misunderstood..we have a pitbull and its just like our other dogs. We dont worry about our pitbull attacking someone; all the little kids in our family play around with him.

Most animals that people will not take the time to understand on their own are. Pit bulls make awesome pets for a family. We had one before he passed and he was a very loving dog to us (my family) but if you were a stranger coming into our yard or if you made a step to close to our children he would let you know to back off. They are very intelligent creatures. Pit bulls can actually sense when something is wrong. Like most animals but pits will actually go with their instincts.

Like most 'agressive' breeds, they are oftentimes misunderstood.  You need to raise your pet with love and compassion regardless of the breed.

 I think they're fine dogs.
Haven't ever had a purebred myself, but I've had mixes.

My nephew was bit by one, but I blame the owner since he'd apparently had problem dogs before in the past as well.

My brother actually owns a Jack Russell - terrible dog. Always ready to bite, even just at raised voices or if he wants to rough house and play? Yeah, dog needs put away or it'll try to rip the leg off the other person. Or if he's asleep or you go into his bedroom - attacked. To the point of drawing blood through jeans - though I wasn't the one bit.
And this behavior is catching - he got a chihuahua not too long ago and now that one bites as well.

Little dogs can be just as aggressive as the larger - just not quite as likely to send you to the hospital unless your a kid.

I "share" a friend's dog--half black lab and half pit bull, looks like the most terrifying thing on four feet, but will pin you down to wash you and sits in your lap at every available opportunity.  known plenty of purebreeds to be incredibly family oriented as well.

i personally would never get one,,the dog whisperer says they are a good dog if they are raised right and he even owns a couple but he also said they are tempermental meaning you just have to pay attention to what ever might set them off, his dog got upsed over a horse running around and he showed how to settle him down ..

Well at first I had a bad outlook on these dogs due to my dog was attacked by one which was being trained to fight..But any way a few months after I saved a Pit and she was the most loveable and sweet dog I ever had..I do believe that these are awesome dogs if they have the right owners in the wrong hands these dogs are dangerous..So I do like pits I think they are very good dogs..ANd I miss my Pit darling she was a blessing and proved me wrong on how I felt before her!
