Hi Charlene!  It's great to hear from you!  Happy Birthday to your son!!  Hope he has fun with his new bedroom theme!  Today is my youngest's birthday - lol, she's 24!  It's also the 5th year today that my mom died.  I am sorry about your mom and it's wonderful that you are taking the time to help her and your dad.

We have a niece (only married for a year and moved away from family and friends because of his job) who told all of about her first experience with that earthquake.  She was scared to death.  She's ready to move back south!  That must be a weird feeling to feel something like that happening.  My hubby was stationed in Alaska on the Aleutian Islands many years ago (Marines) and he experienced several during his time there, including an oncoming tsunami where they all had to go down below in some kind of basement and sit there waiting for the end.  It was odd, but the tsunami started turning slightly in another direction, and they were spared.  I'm glad all of you are okay.  It seems as if your area is experiencing more than usual.

It is always heartwarming that you reply to my every post. It makes me feel special! lol  
I have been praying a lot lately that the weather and the natural disasters will CALM DOWN or just STOP!! I have been so freaked out lately, especially since I was in a tornado in 2008. You never forget it when your life flashes before you. I can understand how your husband felt. That is why I always just do want I want and don't hesitate because life is so short.
Last night, my son and I made a letter for Santa. My husband was rolling his eyes, ( he's a non-believer....lol, that's what I call him). I have always believed in Santa Claus. Back in 2006 I swear I heard jingle bells ringing on Christmas morning. I was still in bed and have just woken up. The sound was the most beautiful sound I have ever heard and I just knew it was the magic of Santa and Christmas. Hope you're not laughing, (or anyone else who read this!, but its the truth!) I tell my son all the time. I am not sure he can fully understand the meaning of Santa or Christmas, but when we decorated the tree and I put our Nativity Set under the tree he took out baby Jesus out of his manger and I told him "No, we have to put Jesus back because we celebrate his birthday on Christmas". So he put the baby Jesus back and hasn't touched him since. Not even the tree because I said the tree was for Jesus' birthday.
Later this week, we are going to deliever the letter at Macys and put it in the Santa mailbox. I put glitter on the letter and envelope and told him it was magic dust to make the letter go all the way to the North Pole. He really liked that! I had fun too! Haha!  

Well, just thought I would share the story with my friends!

Hello All,

WOW I did not think I was gone for that long, its been like two months, Time Is flying by.

I hope everyone is well, And I wanted to send gizmo a big congrats on the upcomming addition, my new little one is due to arrive next month.

We found out its gonna be another girl  lol.

Charlene I was wondering if you had got hit with that earthquake, I saw that on the news and wanted to see if you and your family were ok, Good to here that you are.

CONGRATS on your upcoming baby! I am so excited for you! 
Thank you for be concerned about me. You make me feel special too, like Julie. It is so nice to have made wonderful friends in an unlikely place. Hopefully soon, my husband and I will be expecting. I would love to have a baby girl. I think sometimes my son could benefit from a little sister...haha!!

Hi Charlene!

I'm right there with you about Santa Claus.  It's such a wonderful holiday time set aside to honor Jesus's birthday.  And there is also the fun and "magic" of Santa.  The whole atmosphere is something special.  When I was a kid, there was once I remember hearing something on the roof.  To me, as a kid, it sounded like Santa's reindeer prancing on the roof.  Then I hear bells ringing.  My parents laughed at me when I went tearing out of my bedroom to tell them, lol.  But I made such a fuss about it that my dad went outside and shined his flashlight up on the roof.  He said there was nothing, but I know what I heard, lol.  Sweet memories of that!  I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas, too!

Been so long since I've posted. A lot has happened In such a short amount of time. First I broke my laptop and had to pay $160 to get It fixed. Then my daughter had a Seizure and had to be rushed to the emergency room. Then she got a cold and was on like 3 medicines all at once. She's doing okay now but It seriously freaked me out since I was holding her when It happened. It was caused by a low grade fever. I did not ever expect that to happen. Once she was at the hospital I had to wait for them to let me back and once I got back there she didn't even know who I was. She was so out of It that once she went to sleep later that night she ended up sleeping all night.


My health has also gotten worse. I went to my doctor and begged him to send me to someone who could finally help me. I went for the first appointment only to find out they don't accept my medical card.... You'd think they'd have told me that BEFORE I went In. I did get some pain pills though but once those are gone I'm back to square one again. I'm switching doctors because my doctor knew they didn't accept my card and sent me there anyway. Now I'll be getting a bill In the mail and no money to even pay It. Anyway, got some cleaning to do so I'll check back In later.

Good grief!  How much can someone take?  I'm glad your daughter is okay and hope she stays that way.  That was a scary thing that happened with her.
I'm sorry your health has worsened.  That's awful about the doctor and your medical card.  It makes me want to send the bill to the doctor when it comes in.

Been a long time I last posted. Been so busy with my kiddo here lately that I only pop on here to do a few surveys and check my email. Life has been a bit difficult here lately. I just took my last pain pill earlier and my doctor will not give me any. I went to a pain management clinic and wasted 4 hours then got a phone call the next day to say they do not accept my medical card. Needless to say I was beyond mad.


In other news, a neighbors apartment caught on fire when I first started doing this post and everyone In the building had to stay outside. A trash can caught on fire. They weren't home when It started which was good.

Anyway, gotta start dinner so I'll post again later.

I'm really glad everyone is okay from the fire and that it didn't spread.  That's scary.  Our next door neighbors lost their home and pets to fire this past summer.  They were told their trash can caught fire from the sun's direct heat.  Who would've thought?

Sorry you're having struggles with getting your classes straight and having to go without the pain meds.  I sure hope something gives you a break so you can feel better.  Hang in there.

by the time to fire department got there a maintenance guy had already put it out. the fire department just got the smoke out and everything.

yeah it was scary. smoke started coming through our door so we had to turn a fan on and open the windows. the manager here opened the community room for us so we could get Ash out of the cold. They wont give me pain medicine cause i have a medical card. I keep getting the run around and I'm just getting tired of It.

wow It's quiet lol.

Just thought I'd pop In since It's quiet over here ( for now ). About to feed Ashleigh her lunch then make lunch for my boyfriend and I. Time Is going by so fast and I wish It'd slow down. It dawned on me my baby turns 3 In October. It'll be here before I know It and It makes me sad that she's growing up on me so fast. The little booger still will not say " Mama " but she'll say dada all day long. Anyway, I'm rambling lol.

In other news we finally got a new bed and I am so flipping excited. I can finally wake up without as much pain as before. My back and hips are still bothering me ( a lot ) but I've got bigger problems now though. My feet are swelling horribly and I have no clue why. Planning on seeing a new doctor soon since my regular doctor Is a retard who NEVER listens. I'm just tired of wasting my time. I'm going to see how this new doctor Is and If I like her I'll be switching to her.

Boyfriend Is back so I'm gonna go feed the kiddo then make subs for him and I. Hope everyone Is doing well.
