Sometimes my browser makes clicking signs when loading pages, especially ones with secure connections. It does like 10 rapid fire mouse click sound effects. I'd say it's not a virus, why would someone program something so meaningless?

It sounds like it could be a noisy hard drive, which I don't think it a good sign, however, I had a computer like that at work once that lasted for a few years. I would describe a hard drive as more of a tapping sound, than a click, so I don't know.

Wait, I was referring to a mouse click sound coming out of the audio output, not out of the actual computer. As in, if the computer was muted, you wouldn't hear these extremely occasional mouse click noises of mine.

To the OP, which is it? Audio output mouse click sounds or actual noise?

what operating system are you running? and what internet browser?

When I first installed Vista it did that, and I had to change it to the classic version of windows to make it stop doing it.
