Do you know the state or zip code you live in? I can give you the address to a church that is the least babylonian

Uh-oh.

Stay in the real world and out of church, lynda!

Last Sunday....walked away with a renewed spirit and learned about the importance of forgiveness, what it means and what it doesn't...

@Lynda: The people that say stay in the "real world" or people that say be "open minded" are people who either take independence too far or they believe that all they known is the truth regardless of what scandals and corruption goes on.  The unbelievers live in a matrix(yes I used a movie term 0_0) and they don't want to acknowledge everything they know is not real.

I don't belong to any organization that partakes in the scandals and corruption you speak of.  That would be Catholicism, Mormonism, Islam, and...Jehovah's Witnesses!  To name a few.  ;)

The matrix you say?  Sweet!  I've always hoped that science would one day make us one with virtual realities; I didn't know we were there yet!

In all seriousness, your analogies are actually backwards and work against you -- did you realize that?

Name some scandals that the JW's are still doing today? And not what they did in the past which they stopped?

Virtual realities equals not real, which reality are you apart of the fake one or the real one? Your either slaves for God or for riches(which the governments and companies apply with stronger and stronger alienation from your family)
not both.

I was there 6 years ago and it was a family church before my pasters were deported. It was sad and I didn't go anymore but I practise myself at home. Personally I think it will be terrible without any beliefs for a person. but spritual is more important than religious.

Sex scandals against little children on par with the Catholics!  And that's funny that you should say "forget what they did in the past", as if that somehow justifies such events.  I'm sure Falconer could provide more insider information on this topic.

I am part of the real one.  You know, the one that relies on what is observable and testable and is analyzed by the greatest minds.

As for being for either god or riches...I am for neither.  My family (which consists of me, my husband, and a future dog someday) is the most important thing to me, followed by seeing and experiencing the world.  I could care less about a fancy house or car or a bunch of stupid knick-knacks and in fact by not having these things, that's how we have the money to explore the world to its fullest!   ;D

Your right it doesn't justify it, but the point is the people that did that got Df'ed maybe not at the time or maybe a little later but they eventually got DF'ed.

This proves that they are imperfect and they stopped doing this unlike the Catholics which still continues to do this.

In short, the JW's stopped everyone else continued, it may not mean a lot to you since you have been out of religion for awhile but that fact alone is something to consider.

Hmm, I doubt they've "stopped".  Googling "Jehovah's Witness scandal" results in the first 3 pages *filled* with accounts of child sex scandals.  The last one I saw was from 2007...not very long ago at all.

And I don't think I've been away from religion that long.  3 years?  Meh.  That mindset is still pretty fresh in my memory.  ;)

Last week I went to church - I realized that in order to maintain my relationship with the Lord, I need to keep up my fellowshiping with other believers.  This will strengthen my walk with the Lord and my own heart.  That is what church is meant to do.
