a) People I know well, or have known closely in the past
b) People I talk to

And if I'm not talking with someone on my facebook at all I delete them. Got to keep ya numbers down or else you end up with 2,000 friends and only know 40 of them. Don't know why anyone wants strangers reading their posts and looking at their photos. The strangers could be not-quite-right, looking for an easy target etc. Possibly might watch where you're going, where you live, find you and stalk or contact you. BE CAREFUL!

I only accept those who are my friends and those friends on their list.  A lot of things going on that you don't want to know.

I have accepted a few  I didn't already know then deleted them later. Its usually the ones that get vulgar. I also deleted everyone from work.
