Weather in Daily Paid To Click
« on: June 13, 2010, 01:57:11 am »
I tried to click on weather first as I usually do.  I got a frightening warning that the site might contain malicious software that could harm my computer and did I want to continue.  Of course, I did not.  I did not have the warning with any other sites.  I tried weather again and got the same warning.   Be cautious....   :crybaby2:

I received the same "warning", and like you, I didn't continue either!

I asked the content provider about this and here's what they said:
"It looks as though your user downloaded a Trojan sometime recently. A Trojan will often rewrite the user’s Windows hosts file to point well known addresses (typically of advertising companies, such as Google’s ad server doubleclick.net) to fake ones (such as furryentry.ru) in order to force the user to download malicious files, etc. We have had a similar experience with another user of our content. AVG, and other virus software, flags these viruses and any associated web sites the virus tries to communicate to as being bad when you update virus definitions. If the user’s computer is already trying to communicate with that server, then the user already has the virus and AVG shows the popup for the virus trying to redirect the request to the blacklisted domain."

Thanks for the detailed information.  Does anyone know how to get rid of ad doubleclick.  Whenever I get a webpage with this, the page cannot be displayed.  I have to use another computer and the page displays just fine.

I have spent hours trying to get rid of addoubleclick.net and I cannot get rid of it?  Does anybody know how to get rid of it?

Thank you for letting us know about this.  I would like to continue using fusion cash but if there is malware on this site that makes me very nervous.   :crybaby2:
