Today, a co-worker I hadn't seen in a long time related to me that she had lost her husband very suddenly and unexpectedly and her grief was so overwhelming that I really just couldn't find the words to give her any kind of comfort even though I tried...no words seemed to measure up to this. Maybe it's because this is a fear I live with all the time, losing my husband. Later, I found this site and I thought I'd share it here just in case it might help somebody.

  Thank you for taking the time to bring one of our deepest fears out into the open.  My husband has COPD which is labled a 'Death Sentence', but it doesn't have to be. He stays on oxygen, and that usually helps, but sometimes it's not so good and that fear comes to the forefront of my mind and it's horrible. Somehow we all go on and get through what we need to whether we like it or not. We all can be strong together, we women know how.
