Why do people pass gas in don't say excuse me?

It's better to fart out loud because the silent ones are the deadlier & smellier. I remember passing gas while in line at fair. The little boy behind me was very kind & didn't say anything. lol 

My husband's dog ginger's (rest in peace gingerbread dog) farts was sooooooooo toxic that she set the fire alarm on!  lol we use to joke about using ginger as a top secret deadly weapon which would have stopped the war in the middle's years ago!!!!

I don't and wont!! I always say OMG Danny!! HAHA one time we were shopping and this really gorgeous girl was standing beside us and I couldn't hold it so I kinda slapped my husbands arm in front of the women and said "ewww Danny"!!! LMAO I still laugh when I remember that.

hahahaha!  ...you remind me of my mother. She used to do that to me & my sister when we were smaller. Like in a grocery store or department store.
Some times they were the silent but deadly ones & some times the TUG BOAT sounding ones! lol 
None the less...she would run out of the isles blaming me or my sister! lol...we laugh about it now!

There are lots of reasons, and most of them have already been covered in some of the replies here. I almost always say excuse me, and I am not ashamed when I pass gas, nor embarrassed. I feel this way because EVERYONE does it, it is a bodily function that sometimes can not be helped, and etc... so what if it happens? I don't think it is a big deal, unless like you are at a place that serves food, or some place like that, THEN I think it is inappropriate, because people are eating and etc...

I actually have fun with mine sometimes, LOL. If I am in a store and I happen to pass gas, or I can't help it, or stop it... if someone is standing near by, and my boyfriend is also there, then I some what loudly say after I do it "David! Geeze..." LMAO, the funniest part of this, is HE does not like passing gas in public, I mean this man will get a belly ache from holding it in for too long. He DOES get embarrassed and I love harassing him about it. When I do things like that in the store, he just gives me this look like "if looks could kill" LOL, but I just laugh harder.
