congrats! i personally have never bought a car that required payments to begin with but i understand that there is quite a feeling or accomplishment, and relief, when you finally pay it off. my sister just finished paying hers off a few months ago and is now putting the amount of the car payment into a high-yield savings account to start saving up for her own house

 yes i know how that feels.  i was so happy we paid our car off. and even happier when we paid it off before i got fired from my job. whew that was a close one.

Congrates we just financed a new truck in March. We have 72 month payment schedule so I have a long ways to go.

2005 Dodge Stratus and it took us about 2 years to pay off. Well worth it though. Very reliable vechile. Although my husband hates it as he says new vechiles are not meant for men to work on. He says its a scam for the dealerships to make more money just doing simple things. But in hes defense my poor husband it took an hour to change out our front headlight because the car is so small and everything is just kinda cramped up under the hood!!

fantastic!  I hope to be in that boat soon too!  Trying to get all our debt cleared up so we can start putting more money away.  All we have left is one car, my student loans and a bit on the house.
