washing your face
« on: July 09, 2010, 06:18:08 am »
Hi .... want to get your opinion on facial products.  I wanted to buy the clairisonic  face cleaner with the brushes and all but it is WAY too expensive.  I know that there are some with disposable pads etc..... has anyone tried this?  I don't want to waste my $$$$$ just because it is less expensive.

I just use a wash cloth and hot water and it works well for me..
If you get disposable pads just be sure to get ones without alcohol in them. A lot of them have alcohol in them and all they do is dry out your face.

This sounds crazy but it works...a really soft (new) toothbrush with a good cleanser...only every other day or so. Usually just soap and water with a cool rinse to close the pores.

The Oil of Olay cloths are wonderful. I use them or a washcloth and a Dove beauty bar.

try a face brush with your regular cleanser. This works great and it is a lot cheaper.  Worked for me in a matter of days.

I use St Ives Apricot Scrub. I prefer most of the St Ives line - for cleansers and lotion.

I love St. Ives too...it always leaves me feeling so clean and the facial lotion is the best! Plus, use a pore strip once a week and pore minimizing toner daily.

Many or most  of the Olay products are just as good as the department store brands at far less the price.  Olay has been having one promotion after another for their products.  This year I have purchased close to $200.00 worth of all sorts of Olay face and body products for free/next to nothing after sales, coupons, store promotions and mail in rebates. I do not have to worry about running out of this stuff for quite a while now.

I use good, old-fashioned, Noxzema.  It works wonders and feels great too!

St Ives apricot scrub is awesome. makes me feel clean. Then some Curel lotion which has no alcohol in it. I am 43 and have literally no crows feet and I attribute it to Curel. Gotta keep the face hydrated.

St ives scrub is great.  I like how the crushed apricot pits feel on your skin.  It's great that you do not have any crows feat!  I did not know that Curel made any face products.  If it is the Curel body lotion, I guess you could use it on your face, but I buy a good moisturizer that is designed for faces.
