Oregon sucks, you have to let other people pump your gas for you.  lame, i don't want meth-heads and ex-cons touching my car.

Gas prices in the $3's here.

If you want the smell of gas all over your hands when you take a hot chick out for dinner, go for it. I love having my gas pumped for me and it makes good sense, they can do hundreds of cars and only one pair of hands stinks, but the other option has hundreds of stinky hands smelling up the place. As for meth-heads and ex-cons, they need work too and if they get out of line they go back. I'm all for giving them a chance at least.

gas in my area of CT is about $2.79 on average.  when I get it in New Hampshire, it's $2.65.
as far as the ex-con statement...I volunteered in the women's prison here for 10 years.  they do deserve a chance if they really are willing to change.  I'd rather see them working than keep the recidivism rate high.

um, do what? i'm not familiar with oregon, or
people who work at gas stations there, but this just sounds
like a very broad (and ridiculous) generalization of gas station
employees  ::)  high horse, much?

...anyway, unleaded is averaging anywhere from $2.69 to
$2.75 in northern ohio.

[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

I live in KY and it's been hovering around $2.75 the past few weeks.  It usually fluctuates between $2.50-$2.80, at least that's what it's been lately.  Remember when everybody was complaining about the high prices, then they went super low, and people stopped complaining?  But no one ever asked why the prices were so high in the first place!  Gas companies are ridiculous.  Or are we ridiculous for paying for it?

I'm in northern IL and it's been pretty steady in the 2.80's for the past few weeks.  My family in Texas came to visit and they were shocked-I guess it's in the 2.30's down there!!

Here in NY the prices are rising, too. I think now its up the $2.85 for regular. but I get my gas with a card that links to my bank account, and I get $.10 off per gallon (at any gas station in that chain). I wish there was a universal card like that to use at any gas station.

The price just doesn't stay in one place. It fluctuates up and down around the range of 20 cents. One day I was pumping my gas for 2.65 then the next will be 2.89.
