What is your favorite type of music?

I ask this question because I want to get know you guys a little bit more. Personally, I like to listen to a bit of everything except Heavy Metal and Opera. It's awesome if you know another language other than English too because you get the best of both worlds. Sometimes it's hard to choose between English and Spanish stations so I just make my own lists on my MP3 player that way I can have all songs I like mixed in. Now as far as dancing is concerned, I dance more to Spanish music. It really involves a lot of hip action and helps you lose unwanted body fat. Salsa is by far my most favorite music and then Merengue. My favorite salsa singers are Marc Anthony, Victor Manuel, Frankie Ruiz may he rest in peace and Hector Lavoe may he also rest in peace. Now my fave singers in Merengue are Grupo Mania, Melina Leon, Olga Tañon, and La Makina. Of course, in English I like R&B, some rappers like Drake and Eminem. And then I also like Freestyle/Club music examples, Johhny O, Lil' Suzy, TKA, Stevie B, and my ultimate fave is Cynthia. Those songs were hot in their day but still very much listened to where I'm from. I recently got into some country music, Faith Hill, Lady Antebellum, Taylor Swift, and Carrie Underwood. But the veterans of the genre are still awesome like Garth Brooks and Billy Ray Cyrus. So as you can see I'm all over this spectrum. Can't forget Rock musicians like Linkin Park. I really like them.

Oh ok. You sound cool. Glad to meet another hispanic on the site. Lol! It's hard to see because none of us have pictures in our profiles. Lol! And most of us don't use our real names anyway. I agree with you on that Heavy Metal. I can't stand that head banging music. It's ironic that I married someone who likes that type of music but he doesn't listen to it while I'm in the car with him. Lol! He's considerate of my ears. I told him it sounds like nails on a chalkboard.

I do not do music too much, but gospel or country is okay. I like classical once in a while to calm my nerves.

I love love love Jay Sean!! Whatever genre he sings is my favorite.  He claims he's Pop/RnB.  I love RnB. It's my favorite genre.  I listen to a little rap: Eminem, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj.  I'm starting to warm up to Rihanna too.  I hate country. Never like it. Never will. 
I do know another language: Hindi.  I'm Indian, so I listen to hindi music.  Most are usually movie sountracks because almost alll Bollywood (Indian cinema) movies are equivalent to musicals in Hollywood.  It's a very diverse sound now, very modern. I listen to both older classic hindi songs and the more recent western influenced songs.  They're all good! I love turkish music, not necessarily songs, just the music in the background.  I'm starting to like Arabic music also. I can't understand a word of it, but it's still great. 
But if I had to pick an absolute favorite genre, it would be RnB.

I listen to a wide variety of music including traditional foreign music (Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Italian, Greek, and anything European). I am not keen for Metal and Emo. I can feel my body cells vibrate to aggravation mode whenever metal/emo is played; there’s no healing power for me whenever I listen to it. I can tolerate RnB, reggae, hip-hop, and a little bit of rap in moderation. I mainly prefer synthetic pop, classical music, movie soundtracks, musical opera, and new age. I can listen to anyone from Judy Garland, Bing Crosby, to Martika, Taylor Swift, to Loreena McKennitt, Enya, to Smashing Pumpkins and Linkin Park.
