Deleting Threads
« on: August 27, 2010, 01:13:20 pm »
I am not to crazy about the idea of threads being deleted because it does not work out the way a person thinks it should. It is not fair for those of us who posted our opinions.

That's a good point. Plus, people can lose credit for the posts they posted.

The thing is...don't fight with people! Don't belittle people and talk down to people. Don't make fun of what they posted and most likely it won't happen.

Don't post in marie's threads and most likely it won't happen.

Yes...if you want to make me look bad, it will get deleted.

Well, there everyone has it. Marie basically says...if you post disagreement in her threads, all your posts are subject to her deleting whims. Take note if you don't want posts deleted.

If you post in a debate thread you need to expect opposition. That is what debates are. I did not belittle any one I was trying to point out what the true purpose of a certain religion was.

It is against forums rules for one to treat people the way it is being done.

There is a way to disagree and calling someone all kinds of names is not it.

I agree name calling is un called for but it can be reported and the correct actions being taken for the person or persons who did the name calling. Name calling is too low of a blow and should not happen.

I-G-N-O-R-E THEM!

Sometimes that is harder to do than it would seem. Some names can really hurt but if you are called a name as long as you know it is not true then that is all that matters. Me myself know that I have those moments where you dont want to be around me and know the names fit for the moment  lol

I wish I could but for some reason I can't.

Sometimes names do hurt. But part of life is being the bigger person and not stoop to their levels. By deleting the threads in essence makes that person think they won.

Lusie,

There is an ignore button under everyone's names and it isn't that hard to click on. She doesn't have to see things posted by people she knows doesn't like her, she chooses to not put them on ignore and then get all upset when they continue to post what they think of her. I'm not saying they are right, but she has the option to put them on ignore, she doesn't.

That is true. On the other side though she may miss out on a good point the person may say in a later thread.

You're new Lusie, I'll let you figure out for yourself what normally goes on between marie and certain other posters. They don't put her on ignore because her antics are amusing and at times entertaining...she doesn't put them on ignore I suppose because she is someone who can't stand "not knowing". It has nothing to do with missing any important post. (sigh) You'll get the picture soon enough  :confused1:

lol I already got that figured out I read a lot of post before I actually started to post here. In all honesty I like the atmosphere here. Even the "fighting" reminds me of a family unit  hehe
