Prepaid Debit Cards = NO for FC

Wow...I'm more confused now then before reading this post.  lol

I know what a prepaid card is and how many companies do not allow the use of them when paying for items but it seems funny the posting that is going on around and about them.

I've rented a car with mine, I had no problem buying gas going shopping or doing offers with mine. so I dont understand what anyone is taking about, and I dont remember seeing anything in the TOS about using them, so I dont get why this is even anything to worry about. maybe some offers reject them but most of the offers I completed accepted my card and I have my online receipts to prove it.

That's strange why wouldn't you be able to use a prepaid Master credit card if the card is loaded with your own money from the bank? mine is loaded from my bank through direct deposit or load pack, that means its founded from my own pocket. so if I have loaded cash founds I should be able to use it.

Some cards are founded through personal bank wire or cash load card, if I'm founding the card myself with my own cash there should be nothing wrong with using them.

@apples45 - The reason why you CAN'T use Prepaid Credit Cards for FC is because like lets say for example the $25 ones at local grocery stores....they are a ONE time use and they CANNOT be loaded.  The sponsors wants you to pay for "more" for the service so they want to charge your credit card more money....hope this helps!!

If the card you use is coded as a debit card and not as prepaid the system won't kick it out.

EXACTLY! And that is why some cards that you might think are a "prepaid" are actually debit and not prepaid. If it has a funding source attached to it more then likely it is considered a debit card. You can always ask your provider if you are not sure.

There are some places that will accept a prepaid card. All it is more or less is a gift refillable card. Just depends how they have their computor systems set up.

@Lusie - Thanks for the responce, Lusie!  Yes, they will take it thinking it's a regular credit card but as it does say in the "Term's and Condition's" you can't use a prepaid debit card.  Hope this helps!

It would be extremely unfair to take money from users and then revoke there offer credit my credit card is loaded with my own bank cash and if they revoke offer credit they will have to refund my cash as well, lastly I dont see anything in the terms of use that says we cant use other forms of credit to complete offers. I think as long as the offer page or site accepts our cash there should not be a problem.

Like I said not all prepaid cards are the same, some prepaid credit cards allow you additional credit meaning you can get cash out of them more then one time my bank loads my card or I buy a load pack and you can load it as many times as you like I paid my monthly Jim membership with it, and other memberships with it too.

Most people don't know this but I use Rushcard service its been good to me and the customer service people are good with dealing with issues.. I have another prepaid card that charges me 99cents for each time I call them so this is why I use the rush card because it's free to ask questions.



Anyone one who needs a good service for credit cards try this one out.

Your right its better to get admin to answer this one. all I can say is that most major business accept preloaded credit cards I'm talking about re-loadable credit cards not gift cards or gift certificates, but as for FC some offers may not accept them but some do accept them.

Yes re-loadable credit cards are becoming very popular and some loadable cards offer credit building services. I think that some people think all prepaid cards are like gift cards or gift certificates and thats simply not true, in fact there just as good as some standard credit cards so long as you continue to load them with cash of course.
