"Just Like Mom's" Apple Crisp

what you need1/2 cup Old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats 3   HONEY MAID Honey Grahams, finely crushed 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1/3 cup  Flour 1/4 cup PLANTERS Walnut Pieces 1/3 cup  Butter or margarine, melted 1 tsp. Ground cinnamon, divided 1/2 cup  firmly packed brown sugar 2 Tbsp. Flour 6 cups  peeled Granny Smith apple slices (about 5 medium apples) Make It
PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Mix oats, graham crumbs, 1/3 cup each of the brown sugar and flour, the walnuts, butter and 1/2 tsp. of the cinnamon until well blended; set aside.

MIX 1/2 cup brown sugar, 2 Tbsp. flour and remaining 1/2 tsp. cinnamon in large bowl. Add apples; toss to coat. Place in 8-inch square baking dish; sprinkle with the oat topping.

BAKE 35 to 40 min. or until apples are tender. Cool slightly.

Thanks for a new recipe for Apple Crisp....we are going to the orchard to pick apples next weekend.

We also like to make apple butter.  We give it as teacher's gifts for Christmas.

that's different...the graham crackers in it.  I'm definitely going to have to add that in.  I made apple crisp a lot last winter, but always felt it was lacking something.  thanks!

What a wonderful recipe for apple crisp with a new twist.  Will have to try it .
