Comment of the Day
« on: September 18, 2010, 04:02:37 pm »
Well my comment of the day is "You know life sucks when you can't even look forward to the weekend." How bad is that? Uuugghh! Not in such a good mood today but I guess it can't get any worst. I hope not.  :BangHead:

My comment of the day is - I wish people would learn the difference between your and you're.
Google:  Your vs You're - You're is the contracted form of You are. This form is used in sentences using "you" as the subject of the sentence with the verb "to be" used as either the helping verb (e.g. You're going ..., You're watching ...) or the principal verb of the sentence. Examples:  You're going to have a great time!  You're much better at tennis than Jim

Your is the possessive pronoun form. This form is used to express that something belongs to "you". Examples:
Your wife is such a kind woman. I think your skills are outstanding.

I always cringe when someone writes "Your welcome."

I pretty much have worked every weekend for the last 5 years, barring vacations,
so I usually do not get to look forward to the weekend myself.

My boyfriend's been going to college Monday though Thursday and then working 8 hour shifts Friday through Saturday. The way he's acting is starting to worry me. He's never happy any more.

I try to be. There are days when I need a hug. Some times things just pile up and you dont think they can get worse and then they do. All you have to do is think that tomorrow is another day. Or is what I keep getting told lol Hugs help also hehe.

Miss using homonyms bugs me too. I tutor and volunteer at schools so it's second nature for me to try and correct someone when they miss use them. It seriously drives me crazy when I see those words being used incorrectly by people who should know to pay attention to their writing, people like my boss.

Thanks, Cece, and others.  I know I get to be a little crazy when I see so much obvious misuse of spelling and grammar.  It's not really that hard to learn to write and spell.  At least one can use the dictionary.
