oh goodness..umm i have never sent money thru Obopay to someone else..but by the details on that site it seems simple...and pehaps im not the best person to do this with..lol...(but if u had to send me a dollar..i would just give it back to u thru paypal if u have an account there..dont want u to be out of anything) ..im sure its easier then we're making it..but im curious how it works also

I think Obopay is about to be Nomo pay..i got this in an email just now:

I didnt realize that some people needed to send money in order to get their $10...i dont recall going thru all that...did you sign up thru someones referral link??...my friend was gonna sign up thru obopay but he didnt like that they wanted him to send money first....when i signed up i didnt have to send any money..i just waited for the card to be mailed to me

As was posted in another thread, it seems that Obopay changed their policy.  Once you open the account, you now have to transfer money before receiving the sign up bonus. 

I guess they were gearing up for the discontinuation, making it more difficult for some people to obtain the card.

Its too bad we cant protest the discontinuation ...that is an awesome card...i wonder if there are any other similar cards like that...i think its cool that u can send someone money using ya cell phone...

...but im curious as to why they dont have the emailed message they sent out on their site going into more detail about the trial and its discontinuation?...

I agree.  It is a very convenient card with no fees.  I guess all good things must come to an end - but this was quick!!
