I need to know why I have to send my identification
« on: October 02, 2010, 01:01:59 pm »
There is no fraud on my account and my account status is good, why do I need to send Id to you that has my social security number on it when now days people have to worry about identity fraud???  Why is my Pay Pal registered address not good enough???   :bs:  Do you have a customer service number and just maybe I will feel better about sending my identification with my social on it to you????

Is this an offer that is requesting your SS# or is it FusionCash requesting it for a pending cashout? If it was an offer, maybe you can submit a support ticket.  :dontknow:

Look at the top of the page at FusionCash {not in the forum} and click on the "support" button.

@aalaysia - I think you've made more than $600 so that's why you need identification or u have not done the PHONE VERIFICATION and need to provide an alternative identification.
I have ways of making money that you know nothing of.

I don't think it is the $600 thing because aalaysia only has two posts.  I understand your concern, but anyone who is paying you money does have a reason to ask for that info for tax purposes.  I would not worry about giving it to FC, because I have been here awhile and have NEVER seen anything that caused me to be concerned about their honesty or legitimacy.

I don't like the idea of having to give out that info to ANYONE. I set up direct deposit for my payments, got my first one and know that it is safe and secure!

I've been in FC for several years and have not had to submit my SS# for ID, but I did complete a phone verification when I first started.  There are several sites I belong to that require your SS# before you can get your first cashout, but FC has not been one of them -- unless they have recently changed their rules.

If you are approaching the $600 level in earning then you will definately have to provide your SS# so FC can file a 1099 on your earnings -- and you will definately have to report your earnings in your tax return.

If you are a new member, perhaps FC has changed it's requirements, but if that is the case, I suggest you send in a TT to support and ask them why they changed the rules or why you have been singled out.

People asking for my SS# online = no way in hell. I've seen waaaaayyyyy too many people get screwed by identity fraud for similar or lesser infractions. There wouldn't really be a reason that FC would ask for his/her SS# anyway, all tax related income paperworks and such would be through the IRS on their 1099 or other form.

If its for an offer, unless its a legitimate credit score offer such as equifax, I'd steer way clear of giving that out.

Hey that's the thing I made all my money by legitimate offers and there is no way I'm giving them my social when I can't even call a customer service number.  Thanks for the info and I totally agree.  I did not use a fake name nor did I use a fake address since I elected for a pay pal payout I used my paypal registered address also I did the telephone verification.  My account is in good standing and there is no way in hell I will provide invisible people my identification. lol
