NEW BORN
« on: October 03, 2010, 03:56:39 pm »
My new born is going to be 3 wks on Wednesday October 6th. Wanted to ask the people when do they sleep more than 2/3 WHEN IM LUCKY 4hours a day? I've been ok so far but becoming a bit lethargic. Sometimes I'm so tired I can’t fall asleep.  :-
If anyone recommends cereal I’ve opted out so far. He’s too young.

We didn't give cereal to my little girl until she was almost 4 months old.  The sleeping thing...that won't happen until later on because of the biology...babies have smaller tummies and need fed more often.  When my daughter was right around 5-6 months old, she started sleeping for about 6/7 hours at a time.  Now she sleeps between 10/12 hours a night and an hour nap during the day.  It will get easier when it comes to sleep...but harder in other areas.  I couldn't tell you a single thing, though, that is more rewarding.  The best sleep I've ever gotten was when she falls asleep in my arms...I wake up sore as heck, but its my favorite place in the world.  Congrats, and good luck!

That's not true, my son just turned 3months and sleeps 7 hours during the
Night and cereal does help, my pediatrician reccomended it for my son to
Gain weight.  It has nonthing to do with biology, every baby is different; the
Best advice is to ask your pediatrician..

At least try to lay down even if you cant sleep, to rest your body.
