crafting ideas
« on: October 04, 2010, 03:57:12 am »
Does anyone have any ideas on what to do with cloth napkins?  I have so many (given to me) and would like to use them for something but I can't seem to think of a good way to put them to use.

You could use them in a quilt.

I had a bunch given to me once by a neighbor. I used them to line my bread/hot roll basket for dinner...looks nicer than a paper napkin and then you can throw it way ( butter/grease stains ) if you give out cookies/treats for the Holidays use them to wrap/line containers...make your own gift baskets...a couple $1.00 store mugs, hot drink mixes, napkins...so many uses depending on the colors. Have fun!

If you give candy out at Halloween time. Buy the tootsie pops and place one sucker right in the middle of the cloth napkin secure it around the bottom of the sucker part with some thread. Will make them look like little ghosts. My kids did this one year and loved it.

if you have some in wintery colors, cut snowflakes out of them, dip them in starch, and attach some sort of hangers to them...can either use to decorate the house or a Christmas tree if you have one.
