I found it interesting that Kurt Wise was referenced in this video. He is a "young Earth creationist", meaning he belives that the entire universe, Earth, and all life were created less than 10,000 years ago. The same belief held by those who do not question the literal interpretation of Genesis ie it took just seven 24 hour days.  

One thing I've seen before that he has written, don't remember where it is from (did a search with part of it and it came up), pretty much sums up all the discussions we have had here as far as those of us who say this is impossible, the Earth is MUCH older, etc., and those who go to the response, "That is how it is written in the Bible." This has nothing to do with any who say that a day in the Bible is not the 24 hours we use today. It is those who believe in the literal interpretation of it. Wise is a scientist and a theologian, so he uses science also and says science can be and is used to support the Bible.

This is where my 'confusion', for lack of a better word comes in. Even though he is a scientist, he also said:

"If all the evidence in the universe turns against creationism, I would be the first to admit it, but I would still be a creationist because that is what the Word of God seems to indicate."

I admit that not all scientists are atheist or agnostic, but that is so contradictory, at least in my thinking. In my opinion, it goes as far as taking away [most of] his credibility as a scientist. I happened to think about this while watching, so just throwing it out there. Good find, marie.

edited to add:I have said before that if proof there is a god was shown to me, I would change my views and my thinking. That is why Wise's statement strikes me as contradictory.
